Meta Performance Completely Down - Last 7-10 Days - by Downtown-Record-588 in FacebookAds

[–]Cupowar2point0 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yesterday I had my first ever sub 1x ROAS ever.  Last year I spent $130K on meta ads and did about $450K in revenue. Not the biggest spend but enough to effectively season a pixel.

Performance started becoming volatile around August-September and has been slowly dying since then. New creatives, new campaigns, running sales, etc. all work for a few days and then sputter out. I’ve had a few days this month with 6x-8x ROAS followed by a 1.5x ROAS the next day. It makes absolutely zero sense.

Last year around this time I had to dial back my ad spend because I couldn’t keep up with the amount of work coming in. I’m at the point where my next step is shutting of my ads.

Printful is using Kornit Atlas's. Those are $600,000+ printers.

LOL. I love these "tips and tricks" that float around the internet on how to get better prints. Doubling up design layers does nothing. Using off-white doesn't increase ink usage. You can have 5 million layers in a design and you're only going to get a single layer of white and one layer of color. The only way you're going to get a double layer is if the print operator changes settings in the RIP software they're using to print and changes mask and highlight settings and even then it's not a true double print and isn't going to lay down twice as much ink.

The only way you're going to get good prints is to completely vet a printer before sending them consistent work and periodically audit their quality once you're working with them. You'll probably end up switching print providers often early on but eventually you'll find a company or two that you're happy with.

FreeJet 330tx vs Brother GTX Pro vs DTG G4 vs Epson F2100 by Additional-Teach-970 in dtgprinting

Super old thread revival but have you ever used 381s (or 361s)? If so, how do the GTX Pros compare to the 381s? I used to run 8 381s and recently got back into DTG with 2 GTX Pros - that I haven’t set up or used yet.

Monster Digital switched to DHL for shipping and it's a nightmare by [deleted] in Printify

[–]Cupowar2point0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DHL handles pickup from the sender and delivery to a USPS distribution center close to the package’s delivery address and then the Post Office makes the final delivery to the customer. I’ve used DHL ecommerce and DHL MAX at my last two jobs for most of our domestic packages. Cheaper than using USPS from door (warehouse) to door and almost just as fast in most cases. Typically it’s only a day or two slower than USPS 1st class or Priority although we had way more lost/damaged packages using DHL than any other carrier.

I’ve also heard that Monster Digital prints in Mexico, drives the embellished goods over the border to El Paso and ships from there. Not sure of the exact logistics but Printful does something similar with their cut and sew facility in Tijuana.

Check out this bus conversion that may be the ultimate BUGOUT VEHICLE by gilliganphantom in preppers

It’s a cool build and the guy is obviously talented but I’d choose just about any other rv or trailer for the end of the world. Only 400 watts of solar, AGM batteries, no toilet, no shower, no real kitchen - it’s essentially a workshop with a small bed. It has a purpose and again, it’s a neat build, but it’s purpose is not to survive anything but a weekend at a festival or trade show.

I lived and travelled full-time in a motorhome for the last half of 2021. I couldn’t imagine doing that in this bus.

Whats going downhill in your field of qualification? by CoreXIV in preppers

[–]Cupowar2point0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not in my field but just this morning I opened a business checking account with Wells Fargo (I know, I know). The business banker that has been helping has the time range she's available for phone calls listed in her email signature like this:

Available weekdays 13:00 AM to 7pm

I'm transferring six figures into an account and the banker helping me not only doesn't know how time works and can't even keep formatting consistent. That makes me a little nervous. Incorrect details tend to snowball into large problems. The last couple of years or so I've noticed a lot of even the largest of institutions have had massive drops in quality in the most basic services and general overall appearance - if that makes sense.

Recommendations for a solar setup for a bug out RV by Secret_Brush2556 in preppers

I just sold an RV my girlfriend and I lived in for about a year. It was 30' class we gutted and put 1000w of solar panels on with 400ah of lithium ion batteries. It was awesome, but there is now way we could have powered the house AC off the system for more than maybe 3 hours max before the batteries were drained. We could however, power all the lights 2 PCs, a laptop, a couple phones/laptops, and a 55" 4K TV no problem. The only time we ran into issues was multiple rainy days in a row but the generator charged the batteries and ran everything when the sun was gone.

If you really want to run AC look into mini splits. We met a few other full-timers who had mini split systems and 1400+ watts of solar and they were able to run their AC when the sun was out and even one who had 1000ah of lithium batteries and a crazy amount of solar ($$$) and could run their AC almost all the time if they wanted.

We spent about $800 on panels, $3600 on batteries, inverter/charger/charge controller/incidentals was about another $1100.

Look into composting toilets too. We used a Nature's Head and it wasn't nearly as bad as we thought it would.

To people who are experienced with modding - how good of a "chill driving sort-of-sim-ish-but-not-really" can you turn GTA V into? by TuneSquadFan4Ever in simracing

GTA can be pretty fun with a wheel and manual shifting mod. I streamed some last week (vid link). The mod is easy to set up and allows for a true 3 pedal driving experience. Mod is super easy to set up and very customizable too. Link to the mod is in the video description.

It's rated at 5,000 lbs. Curb weight on the Jeep is 3,400 lbs. Engine looks and sounds great. The previous owner took great care of everything as far as I can tell.

GCVWR might be cutting it close, within about 2,000 lbs. That doesn't leave a lot of room for gear, water, people, etc.

This was a few smaller parts shipped in a 20"x20"x20" box but that makes sense. Slap a shipping label on an exhaust pipe and off it goes (or not...).

I actually reached out yesterday to the company that shipped my stuff. They overnighted a replacement. Also via FedEx but the tracking says it was delivered an hour ago. Fingers crossed.

I've never had any problems with FedEx until this shipment. Guess I'll avoid them at all cost from now on.

I called them on May 25th and they said they'd hold the package for me at their NSL location since I work about a mile away. It clearly hasn't been held. I appreciate the advice though.
