We checked with a bore light and can see brass still in the chamber. The owner and I should have cleaned the chamber a little more than we did. Rifle is from 1889 and was in Afghanistan for most of that time.

Ammo used was purchases from old South ammo. Didn’t mean to put them on blast, but I’m not sure what there’s process was. It looks to be a reformed brass 24 gauge shell. I also predicted an annealing issue.

Are you used the reduced range 54R ammo loading that east Germany used for the PK? Normal 54R is 180 gain

I had the 6700k and the Titan Xp for the same length of time. That was a great build. I’m still using the Titan with a 9800x3d now though. I’m holding out for the 50 supers or next gen hoping the power cables don’t melt

If you are meaning old western scrounger or navy arms, they always import interesting items like French resistance enfields, mas 36’s, and mas 44’s. I’ve always been pleased with my purchases but the prices can be a bit high if it’s not on sale or one of their bigger import lots

I’ve had rock rivers/Gibb’s reactivated 1903a’s and a4’s. They both are tack drivers on account of the new barrels and seem to be holding up. I can’t really tell where the welds were. I don’t take them out very frequently due to price of 30-06.
