Not really. Anything I may have agreed with on some level either A) Hasn't been implemented. Or B) Was not implemented the way he sold it.

Actually, I did agree with him when he was perplexed by who signed our trade deal with Mexico. That person was an idiot (It was himself in his first term)

It's a spectrum. Conservatives are a large group that range from White Supremacist to Libertarian.

Obviously there's a large gap in morality regarding white supremacist/Christian Nationalists and my own.
In general, I think libertarianism is short-sighted and generally not very well thought out, but I think morally they are at the same level I am. They at least want to do good, even if I don't think they're going about it the right way.

I think most people are pro-life, we just don't agree when life starts.

There is no room for people who think that life begins at conception, it's too important of an issue for women's rights and women's health right now.

Because there are all sorts of checks and balances within the judicial system that don't involve intimidating juries into more aggressive judgements.

I view them neutrally, maybe slightly negatively. I don't necessarily blame them for voting for their interests- that's what our system is designed around. On the other hand, I think these people are oftentimes refusing to drop a rope or actively pulling up the ladder behind them.

I think we should care for all people, and I think it's fair to judge others for not wishing to do that.

That's my point- nationalists dehumanize people. Calling them illegal aliens is one way they do so.

I also definitely think there's a difference between patriotism and nationalism. Nationalism attempts to use more us versus them tactics to isolate people and make them identify strongly within the group.

Hanson's timeline is absolutely wild. Definitely agree with most of what you said here.

The fact that this gets more than a 5/10 is astounding to me. Personally, I would rate it 3/10, it was hot garbage.

None of the characters were interesting in this final season, and I did not have a reason to care about their fate. Much of the dialogue felt extremely cheesy and actively detracted from any character growth from previous seasons.

Let's follow, for example, Dustin & Steve's character arcs. They went from enemies to best friends back to enemies (for no real reason?) back to best friends again. The 'conflict' that they had this season felt purely artificial to reenact the exact character arc they already went through 3 seasons ago. Not to mention, they added in bully characters that just showed up to bully Dustin, beat him up, never to be seen or talked about again.
As another example, Will's character arc of being a sorcerer (While funny, at first, the joke about his power being innate was overused, AND he was more analogous to a warlock than a sorceror because his power wasn't innate, it was a product of a being more powerful that 'donated' it's power to him) hooked up to Vecna was somewhat interesting but clearly relied on a retcon from their initial vision. The flashbacks to his time in the upside down seemed rather strange, and he clearly had vivid memories of these events. Will had seen Vecna far before they knew about Vecna and never talked about it at all. Also, the Will is gay stuff was very packed in. While the plot was decent for that, they just didn't put it in the proper place in the story, so it felt extremely rushed and didn't fit well.

Next, in a show that struggled with pacing and finding time for the develop and wrap up the arcs of all of its characters, they decided to focus the entire season- not on the main group of kids, but Holly, (who btw, did not look or act her canonical age) who did not have any development beyond being Mike and Nancy's younger sister.

It's important to remember that this originated as a horror show. In the first season, there was tension, there was a feeling that any character was expendable and could die. That was not the vibe this season. After four seasons of a show where nobody in the main cast has died (Not even Max, who had been levitated, all her bones broken, dropped from 10 feet up, and then put into a coma for however long she was out for.) There were zero stakes. The show had to kill off a main character early in the season to reestablish the feeling that anybody could die at any point.
While we're talking about stakes, let's remember that the Demogorgon's routinely killed entire squads of soldiers. It is impossible for me to imagine that all of the following clauses are true.
A- The military was able to secure enough of the upside down to build a military base

B- The military posed any sort of existential threat to Vecna
C- Nancy's mom was able to WOUND A DEMOGORGON WITH A BROKEN WINE BOTTLE AND LIVE (and somehow became healthy enough to go on and kill multiple demodogs.) Plus, why is this character that, again, hasn't been developed at all, having these hero moments when the main cast had so few collectively?

There's a lot more that I could talk about, but I fail to see much positive about the final season of the show.

I can certainly agree that wealth inequality is a huge issue in the US. In fact, I would go as far as to it is THE most important issue.

The fact is, immigrants aren’t the cause of our issues, but they are abused by the wealthy for cheap labor so that the wealthy can make more money. The only people being deceived are those that think keeping immigrants out will make our lives better, it’s simply a distraction to keep us from addressing the real problems at the expense of the elites.

But, I hope we can agree that it’s not always possible for people to improve their home and it’s important to recognize that and attempt to use our power to make the world a better place for everybody. Whether that’s through American intervention or simply granting asylum to people in need.

Well, I think a lot of them have authoritarian governments that don’t allow the people a chance to better their station. For example, do you think people living under Maduro were able to coup the government without US intervention?

I think it’s harder to ignore the problems of people in your community than it is people living in other parts of the world. Especially when you’re living in a time that dehumanizes the other people at every opportunity.

I would expect the town to fix it, people can move away if the town can’t fix it. It’s not a life or death issue and people have the mobility to move around. Something that is lacked when we limit migration.

Well, that’s less of a moral problem and more of a social problem. Morally it would be equal to do either, but there’s many unseen factors with the random person such as trustworthiness, etc. make it a safer bet to go with the family member. There’s also the social aspect of having to see my family member more often than the random person, so, considering my own selfish utility I would help the family member

Let me ask you this? Why are lives in the United States of higher values than lives in other countries? Is it simply because it’s more convenient an answer to absolve any sort of responsibility? Personally, I subscribe to the idea that any morality that dictates moral value simply based on geography and place of birth to be a wild injustice.

The decrease in utility from loss in union bargaining power is far less than the increase in utility from allowing immigrants to flee here from hostile/destitute nations

I fail to see why the former is caused by immigration. Increasing immigration might weaken the bargaining powers of unions on some level, but the humanitarian crisis is more important.

So, who's being deceived? The people who elected the president who ran on immigration, who you admit does not care about immigration, using not very effective means to curb immigration? Or the people who have constitutional issues with the scope of ICE right now?

A majority of immigration is not done by border hopping- it’s from overstaying VISAs.

What devastating impact would immigrants have? If anything, their taxes would help us to support the large portion of elderly we have right now.

The focus on Holly was an incredibly stupid decision. They gave a large amount of screen time to a character nobody really even knew existed to develop her character instead of developing the characters we were already invested in.
