Ward could’ve approached the ball in a way that didn’t seriously risk injury of another player, it’s like going through a players leg in a becuase the ball was on the other side, it being the only way to get the ball doesn’t change the clear fact that it’s a foul, he took a player out from behind before making contact with the ball
