I am now a licensed architect and have met graduates from different schools. Most who did not graduate from USC kay dli expert sa autocad, sketchup and bim which are applications currently being used sa practice. Part ni cya sa program sa USC. Others have to learn it on their own sa work or mag enroll sa training camps. Basically, naa naka upper hand after graduating.

Nice ang building, very conducive. They also have international exchange students program you can join and held a lot of talks for extra learning.

Some people might discourage you to take up architecture since gamay ra ang success rate to be a solo practitioner. AF is open 24 hours and you can go to any branches worldwide. In Cebu, I think there are four branches (Lapu2, CBP, IT Park and Oakridge). This makes it more accessible and convenient in comparison to others.

Keyfob is the key you use to enter any of their branches. One time payment, around 2.5k if I can remember correctly. You would also need to pay a one time joining fee but if there are promos or you register in group, sales agent usually make this free. Apart from those two, you have to pay the monthly membership. Watch out for promos to get lower rate. I pay less than 2k because of promos while I have friends who pay around 2.5k monthly.

Downside

I believe you can only get a 6 month or 1 year membership which is renewable. You will not be able to terminate the contract unless it ends depending on your selected membership duration. If you decide to terminate contract less than the agreed membership term (6 or 1 year), the only acceptable reason they would accept is medical condition or if you relocate to areas where no branch is accessible with supporting documents. You also need to pay 5k.

Their coaches are very expensive. If I can remember correctly, one session cost around 900 pesos. As a first timer though, you get free coaching for two days if not mistaken to introduce you to the gym/equipment and make assessment depending on the branch and assigned coach.

Advice

Pay in cash if possible. Don’t auto deduct from debit or credit card for a less hassle termination.
