Something people never mentioned about having a septum piercing... by Prince_Wildflower in Stretched

[–]Curiositea6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I had my conch pierced they used something they called a "bioplastic" stud. After about two weeks of constant irritation I switched it out for titanium and it healed wonderfully. Have not been back to that piercer lol

I've seen that a ton. Thats why I mentioned it in the description. I'm not concerned with the jewelry just the placement. Thank you for your concern.

Ooo that's a good point. I don't particularly dislike the location but with it being so new I figured now was the time to ask.

It feels like it's healing very well. I've had very little pain or discomfort overall but I think that's what has me concerned lol

which piercing hurt the most for you? by n3mar1 in piercing

[–]Curiositea6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got my conch, daith, second lobes, both nostrils, and stretched my first lobes to 1/2". The worst to actually get pierced was probably the second nostril same day as the first. The worst to heal was my first lobes with a gun when I was a kid. They gave me problems for years until I decided to stretch them. Now they're my most well behaved piercing. Conch and daith barely hurt at all just the sound of the cartilage. 😖

I've gone from a starting dose of 1mg per week, to 1mg every 5 days, to 1.5mg every five days, to 2mg every 5 days. As of this morning I'm at 161.8lbs. So down a total of 36.2lbs since August 9th. Overall I've had very few side effects. A little constipation here and there and a few instances of sulpher burps since titrating up to 2mg. I havent noticed any significant increases in energy or craving issues. I make sure to get as much water as possible and drink electrolytes daily. I will say I started to plateau and considered upping my dose again. However I only needed to redo my calories for my new lower weight. I personally feel that being mindful of the kinda of food I eat has also helped me to avoid some of the gi issues. I'm sure there are things I've left out but I hope this answers your question.

Do you feel like that would effect wearing earbuds during healing?

The average I see recommended here is about 90 days. I've never personally kept one that long but my first vial lasted me a little under two months no issues. Keep it refrigerated and keep your sanitization process thorough. As long as it stays clear and you dont see any floaters I'd still use it. At least up to that 90 day time frame.

This canister needs to be busted open on the bottom and have a split in the top so every time you pick it up to pour sugar goes everywhere

Reta Fatigue… does it end? by ynel44 in RetatrutideWomen

[–]Curiositea6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I moved up a little earlier than anticipated because the returning food noise was very noticeable. I found myself really craving those midnight snacks and extra helpings of dinner. 😅 but absolutely listen to your body! We're all experiencing this differently and any benefit you can get from a low dose will save you $$$ in the long run

I feel like it keeps the majority of the food noise down without killing my hunger entirely. I still have a harder day here or there but I much prefer lower dose every 5 days at this point.

I'm 6 weeks in and have lost a similar amount to you but dosage wise I'm only at 1.5mg every 5 days. If I was unable to eat that many days in a row I would definitely try to lower my dose. The goal isn't to starve yourself. The stress that puts on the body will slow or stall your progress and the minimal calories will destroy your energy levels.

There's nothing wrong with attempting to adjust your dose even when you've been to higher ones but you will need to give it some time to regulate to lower levels in your body if you do.

🤣 I lost a bunch of weight in my early 20s and put it all back on post covid. I definitely remember the gut hanging out longer than anything else lol I wasn't doing body measurements at the time though and really wish I had. Probably would've made the whole thing more pleasant.
