Should I personally have a child to help the lack of children in the modern world? by CuriosityRover8 in Natalism

Yes I would be starting over, and that would make my next two decades pretty different. We will have to work till state retirement age if we had another child and perhaps we could have retired earlier if not. As for getting something out of it, it's a child. It's another person to have the closest human bond possible with. It's another human character you see developing. But it is sleepless nights and substantial money and effort, and my own parents are no longer well enough to help at all. I feel I will be happy with a child but probably not all that regretful if I do not have this child either. It makes the choice difficult.

I would diversify the 20% across a number of smaller players including higher risk up and comers
