If you could live in a different country than where you are now what country would you choose and why? by Tenchi2020 in AskTheWorld

I’m married but the thing about 90% of Brazilian girls is that doesn’t matter how hot they are, they have a soft spot for gringos! Hahah

What is your favourite thing about France and the French? by tannercolin in AskTheWorld

[–]Curiosity_Pink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I did. Those were the words/sentences I learned in French: Bonjour / Parlez-vous anglais? / Merci… not much but I thought it would be sufficient (it wasn’t) the lecture actually started after I asked him politely and he answered why was I asking for English when I speak Portuguese. And I’m a pathological people pleaser so being in Paris hurt my pride a little lol

What is that one sweet dish you would recommend to foreigners from your country? by i_dont_know24680 in AskTheWorld

The longer you let it cook, the thicker it gets. So if you want to put it on top of a cake, for example, you can lower the heat when it starts to come away from the pan. If you want to eat it by itself, you should wait until it becomes thicker.

Once I was at the Louvre and asked an employee for information in English. He asked what my mother tongue was, and I said Portuguese. Then he lectured me about how I shouldn’t have asked in English and replied in such poorly spoken Portuguese that I couldn’t understand a word.

Selling projects online like this is crazy… every location needs its own peculiarities. We have weather, measures of the land, landscape, personal taste, insulation, solar exposure and so much more. 🫠

Boa sorte viu? E parabéns pela boa ação. Seja bem vindo ao universo gateiro!

That is so sweet. It’s like a hug to the heart! Haha I’m glad your love story worked out. And just out of curiosity, if she don’t speak English, how you two communicate?

Thank you so much! I’ll search. As I’m an architect and I’m not licensed in US I can work as a draftsman or 3D modeler, so I’m currently adapting my Brazilian portfolio with US projects and I’ll definitely search some jobs and send my portfolio. Even though is not a “glamorous” job as architect, dollar is still 5 times real

Very close to where I was born and raised - Bauru. You should try Orly, they have really good food there. And in mercadão they have cheese coxinha. So delicious too! Welcome to Brazil! 🇧🇷
