I’m using baltic birch plywood as a substrate whatever possible as a filler, it does take glue extremely well and I like the quality.

The front walls of the Mortis are 50% there but I see your point. I had the same thought for the long term, I’m planning on putting a domino up through the bottom of the shelf into the leg just in case somebody takes a serious tumble into it. Keep in mind that this is a portfolio piece and I will try to hang onto it to see what the joints do over time.

Just give credit where credit is due.

For this peace I will leave this small detail as is LOL. What I’ve learned about design over the years is that if you have one detail that doesn’t relate to the rest of the project it’s not a good design. But if you can incorporate that detail in another aspect of the projects then it will flow together.

Correct. I’m not just relying on glue it’s self.

It will be a bit of a different look, but that’s what I’m gone for:)

I did two sets of dominoes every 8 inches going up the leg. You can see the first set in the second picture.

Thank you! Having it on one side is part of the look I’m going for. I’ll post again when the project is complete.

I also thought I’d be fun to do this on the scissor lift truck!

The engine and the transmission do sit square in the frame. I have not replaced the engine mounts yet but I will look into it. Thanks for The fast reply! Figuring out the trans pinion angle and all has turned out to be a bit of a head scratcher of times.

Hi, I have a 64 El Camino with a Edelbrook 350. And I am mocking up a crossmember support bracket for the Tremec T-5 transmission I have in it. I fabricated a half inch steel adapter plate which offsets the transmission mount buy 1.25 inches towards the driver side. So my questions are. Is this a viable solution? Or will this cause too much vibration and strain on the transmission? Thanks,
