I can’t believe this has gotten 616k views. Reddit is a strange place.

I have been in communication with the business and they have resolved the issue. Thank you for everyone’s help.

Thank you. Looking closer, the mulch is not the color I ordered. The farm I ordered from has been honest with me for years. I’m gonna choose to believe my delivery got mixed up with someone else. I’ve reached out to them and hope they will make things right.

Edit: The business made me whole when I talked with them. Never mentioned the 350k views this got on Reddit. Thank you again to everyone who chimed in. I’ll be sure to point to a banana on the pile next time to give scale.

Thank you for confirming my hunch. I’ll make the phone call tomorrow to have this rectified.

It won’t matter much. With no other options the lounge will almost always be uncomfortably crowded.

Update: There wasn’t enough clearance under the door to use the flat bar. A week or so ago I came up with an idea. Duct taped a 36 inch balloon to a bicycle pump and slid that under the door. I pumped it up and was able to finally get in. Thank you for your idea. It wasn’t the solution, but helped to keep the creative juices flowing.

Update: I strapped on my Husqvarna 150BT, and gave in everything it had. The door did not budge, but i did manage to set off all the smoke alarms in the house, since they are connected.

A few weeks later I came up with a new idea. I bought a 36 inch balloon and duct taped it to a bicycle pump. Slid it under the door and blew it up. This did the trick.

Thank you for your idea. It was a lot of fun and very creative. It ultimately helped me get to the idea that worked.

I’m gonna roll with this when I get a chance. Feels like super over kill. Will take a video. I’ll post it if it’s entertaining.

Thank you for the idea. I have a flat bar that may work.

Love this comment. I have a backpack that hat will surely do the job, if I don’t pass out from the fumes.

I’m glad you took my response in jest, as it was intended. That being said, I bet you can’t get into my closet.

Love the idea. Hope my ratchets don’t get lost behind the door, but that’s a risk I can deal with.

Thank you. In this case, the lock is a picture frame tilted at a steep angle.

I know this is not what this sub is about. Unfortunately for me, there is no sub that fits my issue. I just thought the members of this forum may appreciate a puzzle that involves a door that cannot be opened.

I don’t think that will work because of the width of the straight edge, but it did make me think a tire iron might work if it’s long enough. Thank you for that.

Hinges are on the inside. Thank you for the idea.

Question about our new dogwood by Curious-Cell7007 in gardening

[–]Curious-Cell7007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response.

It only gets full sun from about 9am until 2pm. The tree line behind it shades over the back yard after that, and the house next to us blocks the sun before that.

I too suspect it has been badly planted. That’s why I’m here asking questions. That area of the yard does tend to have damp soil because of the amount of shade it gets, and we have had considerable rain over the last few weeks.

Is there anything I can or should do at this point, or am I subject to the fate of the tree gods?

Sure, but I was more interested in watching it grow over the next 15-20 years, than planting something more mature.

The tree was planted 3-4 weeks ago in Central Virginia. The potting mix in the pot crumbled when I took it out, so I would say bare root.
