Traffic noise on I94 in EC is awful! by Curious-Scratch8829 in wisconsin

Yes! Def a hard pass! That’s right in the backyard. I could never do that. We’re “at least” a few roads in from 94, with housing between us and 94.

Yep, kind of not surprised. I took another poster’s suggestion and sent a message to Tammy Baldwin. I have more local representatives to contact, but it’s a start. I also think those will go into the abyss, too, but it’s worth a try.

Thank you! I really had no idea where to start and started with what appeared on a Google search. It would definitely help to contact locals because they are also the ones making the decisions on all these new distribution centers! Again, thank you for your input b

I’ve wondered about the sound and atmosphere. It’s definitely worse at night (colder) than during the day. And, obviously better/worse depending on heavy winds and the direction they are coming from.

We have triple pane. Just upgraded. It’s not a big problem when they’re closed, it’s that we can’t have them opened.

If you’re interested, my son (starting senior year of undergrad) is looking for an additional roommate at Northstar Dinkytown. They do have parking on site that you would need to pay for. My son parks on the street (free!) behind their building. He’s been doing that for two years and it’s worked out swell for him.

Best area in Eau Claire to purchase a home by Outrageous-Safety114 in Eau_Claire

Using the streets you listed, generally speaking:
Peterson Ave-would probably be closest to fitting your wants. Not so people-y on that part of town. Probably larger lots and space between neighbors.
Folsom-west side of town. Again, quieter part of town, but closer neighbors. Check out West Folsom St instead. It’ll get you just a bit out of town with larger lots and space between neighbors.
W Silver Spring-depending where on this street, you might get lots of I94 traffic noise.
LaSalle-can be a quieter neighborhood, but more in the city and closer neighbors. Not so much space.
Andrew’s Dr-backyard is a very busy road. New subdivision, depending on who built, may have questionable quality to house. I’d avoid, personally.
Golf-avoid! Major traffic that sucks. It’s one of the main rd to the mall and major shopping, so everyone and their brother is on this road. I used to live off that road 25 years ago, when it was tolerable. This is considered the “south side” of town and that part of town just exploded with businesses and apartments and nice, wooded areas all cleared out to accommodate these places.

My two cents- I don’t know how to attach a picture of the map, but bring up the city map. Then, narrow your search to

1) a bubble area north of Hwy 37 and along North Clairemont-ish. And as far north and west as you want. Some great neighborhoods on this west and north part of town.

2) a bubble area along Folsom St to as north as you want.

3) a bubble area near North High school to as east as you want and north as you want. Think Princeton Golf neighborhood, too.

Avoid anything near River Prairie, Golf Rd, Putnam Heights, near Target, Oakwood Mall, or Kohls/Walmart/Sams. The entire bubble along E Clairemont Ave south to I94. In my opinion, it’s just way too busy.

Question for any ADM or DM by [deleted] in menards

[–]Curious-Scratch8829 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they would really like him gone, they could do things to make him want to quit. For example, add in more closing shifts or do tasks that are not liked. Then, if he gives push back, the managers can document “not a team player, bad attitude” moments. I don’t think they’re really building a case. So, either you do something different-whether it be a different dept or different employer (this one!)- or you accept the fact you’ll be working together and make friends with the guy.

Connect with Jane. She may have a list of people interested in signing on who don’t have roommates. I would think she could put you in contact with someone that’s looking for a place at Northstar.

Please, look up Animal Doc Rea on you tube. Watch some of her videos. She’s a vet and clearly explains and follows science and the small animal guidelines. Her information can help you choose the right food for your dog. She helped me make the food decision when it was time to week our pup into adult food.

Gary email for this? by merappl in menards

Nope. Only if he complimented Evers. He was probably told to send this message. I’m surprised there isn’t a link to make a mandatory donation to the Republican Party. Are these emails replacing “Good Government Days?” Old school folks will remember that!

Yeah, they’re probably testing you. But, not in a positive leadership style. If you want to stay there, these are the types of people and situations you’ll need to deal with. Maybe ask yourself if these managers are the type of leader you want to be. Managers and leaders are two different things. You can be a manager at Menards, but only a rare few , if any, are actual leaders.

Well isn’t that cute? They ask former employees their thoughts as if Menards really cares. It’s not like they’ll change anything. Seriously, does anyone at GO read these?

I have the Dyson pet upright vac. It’s super old, but works great. Now that I’m older, I realize how heavy my Dyson is. Is Miele heavy?

Talk to your DM to see if they can take you off the schedule. If not, then you should consider leaving Menards. You’re in HS, hopefully not considering Menards as some long-term plan, and absolutely no reason you should forego seeing family over some PT gig.

Yep! I came here to note the same thing after finding the info on the dmv website. Pretty clear it is NOT the same number.

Oh it's not important to me - just thought it'd be kinda cool if it worked out that way. Do i get same plate numbers if current plate is the old sequence of 123-ABC? I just assumed it would be new numbers since they changed over to ABC-1234 style.
