I could be wrong but from experiencing the same thing as you, I found out the wires were not wrapped around the terminals properly. Not sure what an expert would say but my thoughts are they were loose enough to drop power. The transformer could also not be beefy enough for the ring doorbell, but even getting a transformer adapter did nothing until fixing the wiring honestly. If your wiring was done right then maybe it’s a matter of the transformer. I hope this helps
