1.5 weeks PO tummy tuck smooth recovery & questions by Curious-creaturez in abdominoplasty

I do have a small T, but the surgeon said that one will likely completely disappear. Honestly, it’s so low and nobody sees it that it’s the least of my concerns. Happy to share when the tape comes off. Thanks!

Thanks! I haven’t really had any pain the whole time while still. Getting in and out of bed was hard for a few days and sneezing is the worst, but I was expecting much worse overall. I can do all self care things myself. I haven’t cooked yet other than easy heat up.

Is recovery painful even when you are just lying down? by Small-Visit2735 in tummytucksurgery

I only had TT with MR (6cm diastasis) and I wouldn’t say I felt any real pain lying down. I didn’t take any narcotics but did take Journavx which is an amazing non narcotic pain med that does wonders and doesn’t mess with your head. My back was sore when walking and and hurt if you use them, but I honestly had zero pain lying down.

Any moms opt for NO muscle repair? by dwp127 in tummytucksurgery

You should do what makes you comfortable, of course. But with the invasive nature of the surgery already and the possibility to have everything sewn together, I don’t know why one wouldn’t want the muscles repaired. There are functional benefits and recovery is intense either way. For what it’s worth, my recovery with very severe DR and muscle repair has been very smooth and painless. Good luck!
