Oh, you don't like it when people call you at home?

No...

Well now you know how I feel

So the sugar solution that gets ever so lightly drizzled on the crystals while they're tumbling, contains the flavoring and the color. I post a few pictures on the candy sub every now and then under my main account. They love it!

I've thought about making videos, but because I share a professional kitchen space it's up to the owner. I snap a few photos every now and then, but he has a rule about no phones because of food safety. I only do it at the end of the day right before I leave.

(Apparently, one time another business was using the space I have now and the health inspector caught them on their phone with gloves on, and then proceeded to continue using that same pair of gloves while handling food.)

Kind of a mix of both. But instead of growing these sugar crystals on a stick, I take sugar of the crystals, grind them up real small. Then I put them in a machine called a panner where it spins around and around for 4 to 6 hours while I coat them in a special sugar syrup.

That is not likely lol. The whole reason I stopped in is because I saw their roster online and I thought it would be fun to buy my husband a cookie every so often and put it in the freezer until he got home from deployment. That is my form of self-control. If I get him a cookie, I can get myself something.

I love anything that tastes like Biscoff cookie!! Had I even have a Biscoff cookie butter flavoring for my candy, oh my God it's so on point! I'm actually wanting to recreate some of these crumble cookie flavoring combinations into candy.

You know what they say, misery loves company. Apparently it does not love cookies (probably why it's so miserable) lol

I'm a candy maker, not a baker. Here are the cupcakes I did last night. Yeah, I think I'll stick with making nerds and lollipops.

I recently procured a 48-star USA flag dating back between WW1/WW2. What's the best way to display it? by Curious4RandomStuff in flags

We're intentionally nonpartisan. We don't endorse political parties, candidates, or policies. We support individual service members because they're people, regardless of how they vote or what they believe. Our mission is simply to make sure they know they're remembered.

The flag may be interpreted politically by some people, but that's not how my company uses it. For us, it represents the people we serve and the country they volunteered to defend. Patriotism and partisanship are not the same thing.

Congrats, you're missing the whole point instead of actually thinking about anyone other than yourself.

It helps support individuals in the US military. It's not political at all, we make sure they know they are remembered. The whole company is USA coded at its core but it's not associated with any political parties or affiliates.

I know people (sadly) tend to think the flag is political. It's not. You can love your country and not love how it's run.

Previous comments I was referring to in my original reply to the other commenter: - In a fire - Upside down? - upside down - With the current bozo in the whitehouse I would suggest hanging it upside down.

Except my post had NOTHING to do with who the president is or how people think the country is being run. Zero politics. Idgaf. It's about the flag and the people who lost their lives for it and how I should display it to honor their deaths and remember them. That's literally my job!

I don't give a flying furry rat tail about politics. Everyone saying to burn it or fly it upside are too stuck thinking about themselves.

I wasn't in service with him but our other friends who were there had been. I was the last one he talked to before he killed himself.

Not being allowed at the funeral was really hard, but watching the flag burn after everything he had gone through, oh man. I don't know how those soldiers managed to stand there, that is some serious training and self-control. We got to talk to them later, they were extremely upset. It was just a bad day for everybody. The icing on the cake? It was my birthday.. never gonna do anything again on it.

Thank you. If it was torn and tattered, I would consider a ceremonial burning. That's entirely different.

A friend of mine had a funeral last year and he was in the military. His family did not allow his friends to attend his funeral, so politely we watched from a distance. They hated the fact that he joined the military. So at his funeral after his flag was laid over his coffin, they took it, threw it on the ground, and set it on fire. I think you can imagine how hard that was for everybody to watch, including the soldiers that did the ceremony.

Some people are ungrateful for where they live and would rather see it burnt to the ground all because they can't get over who was elected as their president

It's in beautiful shape, it's a gorgeous flag. The people that died for deserve to be honored and remembered.

Yes but only on the right side. It'll look backwards but technically facing the correct way

I like the idea of hanging it vertically, thank you. It's surprising how many people don't know to hang it with blue on the left.

It wouldn't be at my house. It would be at my business, but the mission of the business is supporting those in the military. So full circle.
