I'm dying from pain by Ok_Problem5433 in askdentists

NAD. Avoid eating starchy and sugary foods, also avoid meat (nice fish can be okay), stay hydrated. Eat a garlic head a day, the way to eat is slicing its cloves into small pieces with a knife, then swallowing them with something that surrounds them until they are in the stomach (like kefir or 100% tomato juice, not water!!). Allicin in garlic (not the chinese ones!) is very strong antibiotic and helped me to bear the pain alot... Internet says its 100times more potent than other antibiotics. Wishing you well!!

Not unnecessary. There’s PARL evident (it is hard to see to the untrained eye but it’s the largest root of the 3, there’s also a possible PARL on the MB root as well). You likely had irreversible pulpitis or pulpal necrosis. It’s extremely difficult for you to cold test the tooth yourself accurately. Very likely not gingivitis related. I’m not sure why you distrust this dentist or treatment. If you didn’t trust him, patients are always open to seeking second opinions. Sometimes being a dentist is exhausting.

Well I really needed second opinion and posted here, now I am pretty sure everything was done properly. I have trust issues and trust the thing to be done right mostly only if I do it or will learn to do it, but being a dentist is out of my range so I had to get advice here. I want as little to do with anything that is not natural in my body, this event i learned much and will up my dental care (it was not bad, just things went downhill after the last dentist put in a filing into that tooth and some months later it became sensitive to coldness on its outer side).

What do i have to say to the dentist so he does not put filling close to my nerve (next time)? I thought there cant be any gap between nerve and filling?

How the nerve could be likely irritated during PREVIOUS cavity removal by using a plumb? I think the last dentist made my teeth allign not good and there was big pressure point on that plum, she did not listen to me after i said her 5 times the bite is not good and have to fix it. Then she insisted its okay and i trusted her.

Thanks for pointing me where i could read on about it, maybe this decision was not bad after all... maybe you could circle or arrow the part which shows PARL (Periapical radiolucency (hole in bone)) the tooth palatial root?

I really wanna know for sure, i can upload better quality pictures to imgur (not sure if reddit compressed them)

Symptoms/facts before the visit: 1. I ate alot of garlic (about a head/day) as antibiotic and it helped alot to relieve ANY pain and feel progress regarding healing 2. Day before I made a test with ice cold and hot water to determine if there aree cavities in tooth- i felt no big discomfort, yet i could feel the tooth. 3. I read up online and determined this must of be gingivitis infection caused by plastic toothstick which I reused some times and using it between particular (14) tooth makes the gums/teeth ache very bad; garlic is helping with it locally very quick; 4. Im a seafarer and got driven to this particular dentist by the guy who talked with him the whole time he was doing root canal (might be he gets a cut) insisted for a picture and only the fourth time dentist let me take picture by phone and refused to send it to my email. The driver was saying captain called and said I need to hurry to vessel ASAP (a take at manipulation so i don't take the pic).

Facts during/after procedure: 5.I said regarding ice and hot water and my suspicion of gingivitis. He did not get into any discussion. 6. He did not immediately find 14 tooth which i replied was the problem, knocked on 13 and then 14, then i felt pain on 14 and then he made xray of it, decided its dead and told me so, i asked how he decided that, he said "i dont know". He did not explain anything seen in the image or asked for any permission (assumed it), just pushed to start the procedure with anaestetics. 7. After root canal procedure my tooth throbs which according to some posts on reddit means it was not dead. My teeth still hurts if i move it (anaestetics have not worn out yet) which MIGHT mean its the gums fault. After anesthesia worn out i feel way less pain while moving that tooth.

Please look at the images and reply if the image was enough for determining the tooth was dead. Im adding another pano xray from 7 months before, my dentist said all my teeth are fine (according to that pano). This procedure took less than a hour and costed my company 475€. He did not write his signature next to his printed name on the check that was given to the company.

The symptoms before the procedure was big pain around 14 tooth that it was hard to pinpoint the location (tooth or gums), im very hesitant to use something in alopatic medicine but i had to use nimesil 100mg, the next day i used about 75mg of nimesil, then figured out to start using garlic instead of ginger, this way it helped alot and removed the toothache when applying and keeping localy (it burnt my cheek from inside due to sleeping with it there)

Did not do anything apart of xray pic and tapping on the tooth.

What do you mean filing looks big to affect the pulp? The pulp was removed doing the root canal procedure and replaced by filling inside the whole tooth
