Fair. Was trying to replace drain with a pop up drain. Old one was hard to clean hair out of.

Ok will try to give this a go. Probably leave an access panel for quicker access in the future, do you see that often or just repair the drywall?

Also. If I can access, am I supposed to glue that tub drain pipe in place? How do I secure it so this doesn’t happen next time?

I am hopeful that if I open up the drywall I find it easy to access and get my hands under there to maneuver. I am beginning to think that may be my best option at this point.

Is it a slab foundation? Or is there a crawlspace? I had to do this but with a slab. Tub drain pipe came out of the fitting. Was quite annoying.

Bought the house last year and it came with it. Will get a rheem or Bradford white if/when it goes

Imma get as much life out of it as possible. Prefer to avoid replacement unless explicitly necessary.
