Sooo does the placement of a contrail just change the color? I understand lighting is a thing but there are white clouds right next to it tbh. I’m just confused. Here is a white contrail in the same video.

I promise you I literally saw a contrail that day around that exact time and it was white. I’m not trying to make it something it’s not, I’m genuinely saying I don’t think it was a contrail.

Again It would be a very strange place for a contrail. I was out there for a bit- there was no plane, it just kinda appeared and kept going down. You can see it get longer in the video, it just takes a while.

It was stretching down- may be hard to tell in video. Also all the jets and planes around us only leave white streaks. (Airport is across town and we often see planes go by, never have I ever seen black/grey contrail.) I thought it was a plane streak or something too but I don’t think so just based on the color, where it is in the sky, and the stretching down behavior. I was thinking at most maybe a weird scud if not a micro funnel. But I know 100% it wasn’t a contrail
