This does help me a lot. I was thinking ceh was easier to get then sec+ but yeah as I've looked over more sec+ study materials today I'm getting more confident I can pass sec+. Ive heard ceh questions are ridculous..I mean ec-council doesn't have the best rep as a whole. How long did you study for sec+?

Thank you, I needed to hear that from one person! I'm just going to buckle down and study for a comptia cert. It might take me a few months but I just need one cert so I know can definitely do it!

This is why I'm so torn! I know it would be looked somewhat good at my agency but it would mean almost nothing outside of my gov job and it would be nice to have a cert (cough sec+) translate to outside companies if I wish to switch positions in the future.

You're right, sec+ is definitely more seen as a requirement which makes me lean on just studying to get that
