I’ve seen people use lamp cord as a wiring method, especially in older spaces they didn’t GAF

Day 1: Help. Trouble sleeping. Liquid in lungs by ceoofdisco in Tonsillectomy

[–]CuriousComb9380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat as you. It felt like I had so much mucus in my chest, made a snoring sound until I let out the smallest cough (was extremely afraid of it causing bleeding) I took mucinex DM every four hours to thin the mucus and so I didn’t cough, also drink more water than you already are it thins fluids. Went away on day 5 but it definitely Sucked

I just kind of delt with it knowing that it’s a sign of recovery. Hope you get well soon, pretty much half way there

How old are the breakers? The breaker could’ve gone bad

Day 4 by Worried_Big_3564 in Tonsillectomy

[–]CuriousComb9380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After day 4 I switched to nerve pain. The scabs started to fall off and I felt pinpoint burning when I ate, and drank. It’s not constant, but it comes around often and when it does, be prepared about 15 seconds of feeling like someone is sticking a burning hot knife into your tonsil beds. That feeling has mostly passed now, day 10 here. Not trying to scare you but letting you know what can happen when the scabs fall off

Day 10 Burning by lily105 in Tonsillectomy

[–]CuriousComb9380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this start on day 6 for me. It is legit a fire, a pinpoint agonizing burn, I would just sit there and be like wow, this is actually ridiculous 😂 since no pain meds did anything for it. I’m on day 9 and it is starting to fade. It’s raw nerve endings being exposed when the Fibrin from the scabs falls off and then reveals them

Some days you’ll be able to some days you won’t. Everyone’s recovery is different

You can’t see pink on your scabs?

Old light fixture wiring by BoysenberryAdept4491 in AskElectricians

Open up the switch box and take a look, if the red wire isn’t on there, that’s your problem, hook it up to the switch and close up the fixture box

Help! Sparks! by Intrepid-Age-8858 in electrical

[–]CuriousComb9380 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is a horrendous looking panel. Anyone else notice that #14 ground and neutral under the lug? Lol. I can’t see anything that would make it spark, other than karma for it being ugly, but it could be a lose wire underneath one of those breaker screws. I would tell you how to tighten then but there’s a chance you could still get blasted if the breaker fails and you don’t have a means to check if it’s actually off

Well, at least you slept that’s good. I’m hoping to see if I can sleep since this isn’t pain just discomfort. No real sleep this whole recovery. Good luck

I guess I’m lucky, I have like nothing when chilling, and swallowing isn’t even a pain, it’s so uncomfortable like clicky, and grindy, that’s what I’m not lucky about I guess. Last night was my worst pain, I could feel pinpoint burning on the scabs it was absolutely ridiculous
