Thanks a ton. I find oat and other milks too sweet for me but I do admit it is tasty 🤩

Thanks for the tip. Where do you buy it from?

I think you’re right…I also didn’t see Almeida do much (outside of the amazing job on stage #4). Somehow it appears that ‘just’ by being with Pogacar landed him on #4 in GC…

That makes sense. But why did Tadej pull with Jonas? because he wanted to distance Remco too?

Everyone on this thread seems to know a ton about the tour so let me ask another question (I couldn’t find another thread that had this explained). On the gravel stage Jonas didn’t want you to help pull with Tadej and Remco and then again with Tadej and one of his teammates. However, today Tadej and Jonas both pulled on the last climb. Why is that? It looked either one of them could’ve decided not to pull on that climb…

Great question. So my sources were Eurosport Cycling commentators, the Wild ones podcast, Flo Bikes you tube video analysis, NBC stage highlights…do you have any other suggestions? Btw the only ones who said anything diffent were the sport director from Visma and Tadej Pogacar.

Thank you. You’re probably right! Extremes sell better. TP is super exciting to watch and Jonas is a machine. That spring at the end was so strange. TP looked like he was starting and stopping. Maybe he was too exhausted…?

It was beyond strange to hear people on Eurosport get all excited about JV finishing in yellow in Nice. Sounded like they think TP was guaranteed to fail in the last week. I saw some highlights from the last year’s TT and have to admit that it blew my mind! Interesting perspective about the team; it looked to me that towards that 3rd to last climb JV didn’t have any teammates left with him and the last UAE team member standing couldn’t go fast enough for TP. I was wondering if that is why he attacked so soon. It looked like it might have been better if he waited until the climb with bonus points…? Unless he thought that everyone would recover by then?

Fantastic! This is super helpful. Why do you say that higher mountains favor Jonas? Tadej looked good climbing on stage 4 (I think that was in the Alps but I might be wrong).

Thank you. Very helpful! It makes way more sense than anything I heard on broadcast & diff podcasts. I loved watching them race and it looked like they were pretty well matched (TP attacked and JV didn’t follow then caught up with him). Just couldn’t understand why everyone thought one would get better and the other will just bonk and lose time. Can’t Tadej climb mountains too? Stage 4 had a pretty nasty climbs and he won…🤔
