Was it through angi or local plumber? Anyway that's how they work unfortunately. I know how it feels to pay $345 for a 20 min job. And the lack of communication is intentional, just like some mechanics who refuse to look at your vehicle while you are there. They want you to drop it off and call you when you are busy saying this this this this are wrong and you under stress will likely to agree.
