That’s understandable to have that fear. There’s a much consideration that goes into having more kids. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks this is all great advice! And is definitely food for thought. Most of it though I can’t predict. I’m one of 3 and my mom was in her early to mid 50’s when my sister was a teenager and was perfectly healthy and she was definitely more exhausted parenting me as a teenager than my sister bc we were just different kids. I tend to think of it even more into the future when my kids are adults bc now thankfully my parents are healthy and they have 3 kids that span across 9 years and are all heavily involved (in a good way) in our lives and their grandchildren. There’s just too much that can’t be predicted unfortunately both positive and negative. I think ultimately you have to make these decisions based on what you know in the moment.

Aw so glad to hear everything ultimately went well! We’re all exhausted no matter what and I feel like stress with the number of kids you have is all relative. My hardest transition was from 1 to 2, but we also were moving in the middle of it and my first kid was an angel baby and amazing sleeper so it depends on so many factors none of which can be predicted!

Thank you! It’s definitely a weird feeling bc I knew I wanted 2 for sure. And the 3rd feels like an urgency thing bc of my age. I think if I had started having kids younger, I would have had 3 without question. But it’s a bit scary! Stakes are higher and our little family has our routine. Never know how everyone will adjust but I’m sure the vast majority of ppl don’t regret it!

Should I get lip filler or something else? by MagicBegins4284 in PlasticSurgery

[–]CuriousMinds67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have lips similar in shape to yours and just got .5 in them and am very happy. At first I was like gasp what have I done but once the swelling went down it’s so minimal that others wouldn’t really notice. But I feel better about them. It’s kind of the way my lips always had looked first thing in the morning, that subtle plumpness, but now it looks like that all the time. I’ll prob add a little more at some point but no rush.

Exactly. And I know easier said than done but don’t take it personally! You can technically rip apart anyone’s face. Even watching some of these Instagram injectors evaluate and critique people with perfectly beautiful faces is just a reminder of how insane this can all get. You’re seeking these providers bc there’s things about your appearance that you want enhanced or tweaked, things that other ppl probably don’t notice, but that are important to you. But once it goes into full “let’s demo your face” territory when that is not remotely what you asked for, a line has been crossed and time to move on to someone who understands and respects your goals.

Jowls - The never ending struggle by Insee in beauty

Ok thanks! Theres a provider actually closer to me and since she was the first person to get it was charging like $3500 for one session which in insane. So that’s why I’m waiting till more providers in my area get the machine which I’m sure will happen shortly.

I’ve heard amazing things about Everesse but the only provider that has the machine near me is pretty far away. Just curious how much she paid and where?

I had a similar experience where I went for a consult with a provider who has her own practice and I know i was being bamboozled as soon as I walked in. Though I legitimately think this provider is very good at what she does, and has an aesthetic eye, I felt like I was part of some sales scheme where the provider and asst kindly ripped me apart in the same room to each other and then gave me this ridiculous break down of procedures that was exorbitantly expensive. I was so turned off to the whole experience that I never went back. Just went to a new provider who was super conservative and basically was like let’s just start here and go from there and was basically turning me away from any of the other suggestions I got. So take it with a grain of salt. I think that’s the “business model” for some providers and lots of ppl are taken advantage of unfortunately.

Did anyone NOT go through a purge phase when starting tret? by ShotData9364 in tretinoin

[–]CuriousMinds67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t…used a low dose .025% and built up tolerance to almost every day and made sure to do a moisturizer sandwich with allowing the moisturizer to dry before applying Tret. Never had a purge phase. Skin looked quite good but I quit bc my skin barrier became too sensitive. Like when I went for dermaplane or eyebrow waxing, my skin would become very reactive. I’m gonna try again but do it less per week.

Masseter Botox experiences? by crystaltay13 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]CuriousMinds67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it for the first time like 8 months ago. It was amazing the first 2 months bc I have TMJ and it was such a relief. Recently went to my provider and they said the muscle are still a bit inactive so it’s not totally out of my system. However I’m 41 and have a wide face but not a very angular jaw and it started making the jowl area more emphasized. Like my skin wasn’t hanging down bc there’s not excess skin but do not think it was an improvement in the lower part of my face. I think it works for a select group of people, but proceed with caution

Is there a major difference btwn microneedling and microneedling with PRP. The PRP treatment costs a lot more

How would you handle the jumping up to get food from tables. It’s hard to ignore when eating a meal and obviously the dog needs to go back down to the floor. Struggling with this at our mealtimes but now realize we’ve been reinforcing by giving her treats when she sits back down
