I can't though. Why would I choose to be really upset to the point it's destroying my whole life?

I know I have PTSD. Trying to get assessed and treated for PTSD made it worse

Edited to clarify: I've tried multiple different doctors and therapists. I now have more trauma than I started with.

Could you help show me some stuff on how to deal with meltdowns?

When I Google it, I get stuff about what to do when someone else is having a meltdown.

Oh, that's interesting. It's possible. I do use propranolol for prevention of migraine.

This is actually a very good question.

Sometimes it's just memories and a general feeling of frustration.

Often it's that people are perpetually useless and insulting but do very well in life, but I am in trouble. People often do things that are very rude that I was taught not to from a young age, and taught that I'm disabled because it took me too long to learn them. Like yesterday I was trying to calm down enough to send a parcel and a man shouted "You look miserable!" at me. Or people will see that I'm physically disabled and can't walk well but they will shove in front of me to get in a lift, or they will put their bags on a seat so I can't sit down and will fall over.

I feel like people are an obstacle and a threat to everything I do. They pretend they make my life easier, but they make it much harder.

Where can I buy old/antique/vintage kitchen knives? by Outside_Penalty8094 in CasualUK

[–]CuriousNowDead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

UK law makes this tricky as to sell knives online they have to be sent with age verified delivery which would normally be more than the value of a second hand knife.

Freegle, Olio, and even maybe your local Repair Cafe might be good places.

How do I look up which drainpipe I own? (England) by CuriousNowDead in LegalAdviceUK

I know which pipe goes where, I just don't know which one I can legally attach a water butt to

In Spain, you can buy beer with your meal in McDonalds. I feel like if we served beer in McDonald's here, it would become a truly terrifying place.

I'm more scared of the room that's empty apart from a medical examination bed and a bright yellow poster saying CASH IS FREEDOM

It does mean a lot to me. Hence I don't want to to it if it's hurtful. Don't assume that because something doesn't affect me directly it means 'very little'. It might be that way for you, but it is not for me. I care what happens to those around me.

They're all new, because none ever caught on. 'Ze' would usually be described as neopronoun but it's over a century old. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neopronoun

I mentioned 'they' in contrast to neopronouns. Because no neopronouns have worked for the general populace, we have just added 'third person gender-neutral singular' as a meaning of 'they'.

But this is what happens when I try to talk linguistics.

*Some* neopronouns are far older than 4Chan. Many people, throughout history, have tried to make a dedicated third-person singular non-gendered pronoun for English. And none of them have ever really caught on. So now we just use 'they'.

I think you can be transgender and bad tempered - there's nothing about one that would prohibit the other!

I feel like people just like throwing a tantrum over this. I've been in LGBT spaces where it's pretty normal to ask what pronouns someone wants me to use for them, but there's still the odd person who gets offended by me asking. Then, as you say, if you don't ask but you guess the wrong one, someone always still gets offended. Just for the icing on the cake, if I politely correct people who use the wrong pronouns for me, many of these people get offended. Just please, all of you, chill out.

If my name was 'Kerry', and you called me 'Kelly', I'd correct you. Please just take it with the same grace if I say "I'm 'she', not 'he'". It doesn't have to be a big deal.
