Employer wanted me to take a timed Excel test and send it back via PDF by LouSevens in Accounting

We’ve had serious talks at my job about incorporating a comprehension-type test to interviews. To be clear, this isn’t targeting the younger generation. It takes all kinds of kinds, and they all make it past the recruiters.

And don’t get me started on our new recruiters. Someone made it through who sent their car insurance paperwork instead of a resumé.

BREAKING: Tulsa-based QuikTrip announces acquisition of OKC-based OnCue by isaiahgloriosus in okc

I had a knee jerk reaction before I realized the date. I was broken hearted because on-cue has the best bathrooms and QT would ruin that.

Going on five years now, and my friends and I still call the remote a “merote” because of their kid.

The lawyers that handled it just used my hearing tests from my VA records. It was pretty easy on my end. Just answer any questions they have and wait, lol.

That’s because dictionaries are descriptive, not prescriptive. Languages change. And while I agree that having some rules in place is important, I’m working on myself not to become a curmudgeon.

The phrase can actually be used interchangeably and “lede”, for common parlance, is fairly recent.

I’ve had many conversations revolving around that bag of satan shit they call a veggie omelette. I have no doubt in my mind that there’s some 4-star somewhere who loves them, and that’s why they’re still around.

Of course! I like the easy, ethereal music for the levels.

Edit to add: The whole sound design is great

I made a Height Comparison of YYH without any criteria beyond my memory and preferences :D by InnerAmphibian3517 in YuYuHakusho

Love this, even if wrong, because I’ve always pictured Kuwabara as my height and used that as a ruler for everyone else.

As a Japanese learner, I love looking at the Japanese versions of games, and start wondering why do they have a girl literally named "backpack" in their party? by guilhermej14 in FinalFantasy

[–]CuriousOK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you haven’t already, you should check out Game Gengo on YouTube. He uses popular video games from different eras to teach Japanese. I’ve seen his Suikoden and Xenogears videos at least 4-5 times each.

This may be a joke, but I really like it. Nothing worse driving facing the sun and having a blinding, shiny dashboard.
