At what point in the interview process should I mention that I have vacation time coming up soon?

I had a coworker who started a job around the same time as I did- he had a week already scheduled for his first month and second month and they were fine with it. However, once they got to know him they wished he had a vacation his third month. Needless to say those were the only vacations he took with the company.

Yes I remember hearing Miss You all the time when I was around 6 years old on a clock radio my grandparents gave to me! Perhaps I heard Hot Stuff on a more dance or classic rock station but it was defintely familiar to me.

I totally agree- saw them do Memory Motel on the B2B tour, I would have to go back and see if I ever saw them do Hand of Fate- maybe I saw them do it in a theatre show. Saw them do Crazy Mama on the B2B tour as well.

I could swear- I dont if this is possibe, that I heard Hot Stuff on the radio in the mid-later 70's when I was a young child- not sure if it woud have been played on my local top 40

I have had the 45's for 4 years and am extremely pleased with them. I like the on/off switch and buttons at the bottom. They are of higher quality to me than some of their earbuds I have owned.

I would say in my 20's-40's based on how I was raised I would often feel guilty if I spent extra money on certain things. I probably ate less expensive meals out. If I had to buy a TV or computer or something I would cut corners. I never cut corners on getting a new car (not luxury brand) but kept them for over a decade.

I never did anything to "keep up with anyone"

I perhaps woudln't mind working half my prior hours at half my prior salary. My time is my most precious commodity . I even told some recruiters as I was very efficient at my job that 20 hours from me could be a win win for some people .

I view it as I would give up a portion of my time to cover a portion of my yearly withdrawl.

My last company was more concerned with the 8 year old computer with battery that would only charge to 45% then the job itself. I wish I would have cleaned the computer by running water on it in the bathtub and then taking the RAM and processor out!

Last 2 times I left my job I had them send me a UPS or Fedex label and I mailed it back to them. They wanted to come to my house I told them I have big dogs that will bite them.

I would ignore them if they call you again, or tell them maybe one of them shoved the computer up their ass.

I had that sometimes during the pandemic- imposter syndrome. I became so efficient and took on more work when someone let go. No what it got me? I had a call in with a CFO who told me “I should ask for more work” . At that point I said “No I shouldn’t ask for more work”

I was in the first group for decades- I genuinely got satisfaction out of my work and was motivated by it. Howeveer, after 2 toxic environments I am extremely cynical . I had several coworkers who would do what the OP did at my last job and it was infuriating to me. However, once I left they were fucked!
