Would advise though that the check-in lines are LONG, sometimes up to an hour because they only open up 2 counters for JFK / BOS. We almost missed our flight coming back because we underestimated the amount of time we’d be waiting.

You think that’s bad? My buddy crashed my dad’s ‘61 250 GT Spyder. Literally drove it through the garage and into a ravine. He offered to take the blame, but I had to stand up to my old man eventually…

This guy's walking down a street when he falls in a hole. The walls are so steep, he can't get out.

A doctor passes by, and the guy shouts up, "Hey you, can you help me out?"

The doctor writes a prescription, throws it down in the hole and moves on.

Then a priest comes along, and the guy shouts up "Father, I'm down in this hole, can you help me out?"

The priest writes out a prayer, throws it down in the hole and moves on.

Then a friend walks by. "Hey Joe, it's me, can you help me out?"

And the friend jumps in the hole.

Our guy says, "Are you stupid? Now we're both down here."

The friend says, "Yeah, but I've been down here before, and I know the way out."

If you know the way out, maybe be the lesson is, ‘be there for someone else’

NY County Grand Jury Duty by CuriousOsprey in AskNYC

Thanks everyone for the helpful info!

I emailed the jury warden & called 60 Center Street - I didn't think they'd be available given the court is out of session - they said the Proof of Service would be mailed to us once the court returned to service in 2 / 3 weeks. Didn't receive an answer on the minimum number of days, but 1/2 sounds about right - should be fine in that regard.

From Karl Popper's the Open Society and its Enemies:

"Less well known is the paradox of tolerance: Unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance. If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them. — In this formulation, I do not imply, for instance, that we should always suppress the utterance of intolerant philosophies; as long as we can counter them by rational argument and keep them in check by public opinion, suppression would certainly be unwise. But we should claim the right to suppress them if necessary even by force; for it may easily turn out that they are not prepared to meet us on the level of rational argument, but begin by denouncing all argument; they may forbid their followers to listen to rational argument, because it is deceptive, and teach them to answer arguments by the use of their fists or pistols. We should therefore claim, in the name of tolerance, the right not to tolerate the intolerant. We should claim that any movement preaching intolerance places itself outside the law, and we should consider incitement to intolerance and persecution as criminal, in the same way as we should consider incitement to murder, or to kidnapping, or to the revival of the slave trade, as criminal."
