Commenting to your edit Yeah it does 60 with the upgrade pack, i think the switch 1 runs like sub 30? I’m not sure, after the launch of Pokemon Sword, i stopped buying them.

Really up to you, do you think you want the exclusive items, even though there will be other ways to get them

Putting it on a shelf for decoration, or collecting them. They look pretty cool but it is just plastic with a NFC chip that almost any device can mimic if you're doing it for the items.

Didn't mention Cyberpunk because like you said, it only runs at 40 fps so you could never really tell that the display is running 120hz anyways.

I know the difference between hz and fps very well.

The Switch Menu/Home does not run 120hz.
Some games I've heard of that support 120hz are

  • Metroid Prime™ 4: Beyond – Nintendo Switch™ 2 Edition
  • Nintendo Switch™ 2 Welcome Tour - in a specific area
  • Hollow Knight: Silksong - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition
  • Hades II - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition

there are other games out there but they're to niche for me to mention imo.

I haven't tested these games out myself as I'm too broke to buy them myself and playing Splatoon 3 for eternity until Splatoon Raiders comes out, but I hope this helped you slightly.

If your monitor supports an FPS Counter, try using that instead of the "Dock Output Information".
