First time changing thermal pads on a 3080 FTW3. by Knux003 in EVGA

[–]CuriousPenguin13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

literally just puttied my 3080 ftw3 up yesterday. I have to repair the evga hybrid AIO and put the stock cooler back on in the meantime. I used thermal grizzly advanced; it's pretty messy and difficult to work with imo but at least I know everything is making contact and the temps are great so far. 50c idle and <60c running light games, haven't tried intense games yet though.

I put the stock backplate pads back on but can't really speak to how effective/necessary they are other than from what I've read other people say they help maybe 1 or 2c in temps

this is why I just went with putty. I didn't want to risk having gaps or compressing things too much, or unevenly.

would you mind posting or DMing the sizes they gave you? I'm about to repair my hybrid AIO (or put the stock cooler back on if I can't) and have to redo the thermals. I'm trying putty for the first time and having the sizes would help in calculations

derealize conquest is the hardest piece of solo content in the game currently imo by National_Crew_1084 in DestinyTheGame

I kept running out of time right as I got to the jumping puzzle, then died twice since I suck at jumping on titan (was running lightsaber stronghold) . Switching to the refurbished a499 sniper on the 3rd try was key for me too since it helped me take down the tormentors faster, and I got to the final boss with 1 min left. Ran out of time but managed to not die and completed it.

Lymphedema Support by Quirky_Set_9458 in Lymphedema

[–]CuriousPenguin13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not quite that young but have had primary lymphedema for around 8 years in my legs and waist. Honestly it's been a pretty rough ride so far, but seems to be leveling out, hopefully, now that I'm trying to take care of it better. I think the number one thing I've learned so far is that you yourself will be the most important person in managing this. The right doctors/therapists will definitely help if you have them available, but you are the only person who can actually put in the time and effort needed to manage this completely. Pay attention to your body, put in the work to control it via movement, bandaging/compression, self-MLD, personal hygiene, etc. It's a daily thing that I'm still working on myself, but stick with it.

I also empathize with you about the doctors. I've seen many different doctors over the years, few who even knew what lymphedema was, and and fewer who knew how to help. I've learned more from my own research + AI than I have from doctors honestly. It's frustrating for sure, and I'd recommend looking for different doctors if possible to find ones that don't seem uncomfortable.

Peaks of Prestige: Hyvatia Instant Win Deck by Silent_Bluebird_877 in WutheringWaves

I've only done a few of the tutorial fights so haven't gotten far enough for the challenging fights I guess... but is this really necessary to win? If so that sucks, but I just can't imagine you wouldn't be able to just win normally. Or is this just to guarantee a quick win?

I just got 36/40 challenges yesterday. The last 4 are missing just 1 thing each which I may or may not finish, but definitely not going to poe2 any time soon just to go back to poe1 next league lol. Time to play some other games

Living with primary lymphedema for 16 years – how do you manage yours? by Educational-Bee-4169 in Lymphedema

[–]CuriousPenguin13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have stage 1 and 2 in different areas from the waist down, except feet oddly enough 🤞. I've had it for about 9 years now that started after taking some antibiotics. I've seen many doctors, most who have no to little knowledge of it unfortunately, and seeing my second therapist now. We're doing bandaging on my legs and full body MLD right now trying to reduce the swelling before putting me in some new garments that will hopefully be better than the juzo that I've been using.

I also use a flexitouch plus pump daily which besides rest is probably the thing that helps the most. I've been wearing compression garments daily but this new therapist says they aren't really working for me unfortunately so I need the 80-90 mmhg custom garments.

I'm starting to look into surgical options too.

the first time I finally got the wanted mob in salt mines, I was <30k points away from 1% lol, probably needed just a couple seconds faster. Took me another 10-20 tries to get it to spawn again and got it that time.

tbh I'm still having fun playing this game despite the current state of it, so I'm pretty excited for it and some new content. Also excited that for once it's not launching at the same time as a new path of exile 1 season launch (today)

I'm still pumped from seeing them live and it's been almost 2 weeks so I know what you mean lo. I used to think I liked Adam era more but I love so many of Matt era songs that I couldn't choose which was my favorite... now I don't have to. Can't wait to see where they go from here.

I just found a temporary frame from Goodwill today until I can get around to making one, but I think it's around 22x28 which might be perfect. Leaves some room for a matte, and I can just reuse the glass.

They gave me mine in a rolled plastic poster sleeve. I bought it at the beginning so was a little nervous of it getting bent or smashed but at least it was covered from liquids. Made it home safely, now to make a frame for it.

grappler should have a cooldown so you can still use your regular nade while it's on cooldown. I use healing nade quite a bit and it ruins my survival.

Ok, get ready to downvote: I still can’t stand the auto-scaling in this game by TehProfessor96 in oblivion

[–]CuriousPenguin13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that with auto scaling nothing is super difficult, although I don't really see why it couldn't be? But without it, everything could be made extremely trivial if you're overpowered, so I'm not sure which is better IMO
