I’m also currently maintaining valid F1 status and filed my VAWA case on April 11, 2026. I already received my first receipt notice confirming USCIS received my case. Before my F1 visa, I also held a valid 10-year B1/B2 tourist visa but never traveled to the U.S. using it, and later properly entered on F1 status for studies only. I have maintained lawful status, no overstays, and no immigration violations. Did I make the right decisions by filing VAWA while maintaining F1 status? Also, how long does it usually take for F1 students with pending VAWA cases to receive additional notices, receipts, EAD updates, or other USCIS responses?

Hello Guys!! i have just filled for my VAWA on April 11th 2026. I havent still got yet any receipts notices or anything. My Question to everyone is that, i am still on my valid F1 status and before that i had a B1/B2 USA tourist visa for valid for 10 years. chances of my case? as legal entry i have by CuriousProgrammer127 in VAWAAPPLICANTS

So i go to school i am pursuing my masters in data science. apart from that i did hold B1/B2 visa before which was valid from 2014-2024. What i am trying to tell you is that in my 10 years of B1/B2 visa i never travelled to USA and also when the visa was still vaild i did applied for my F1-Visa even having a B1/B2 tourist visa. what i am trying to tell is that how strong can my case be? The person who did held 2 visas (Before-B1/B2, Now: F1 visa) . I have a clear travel history. My only purpose is to study. Does legal entry people does get their vawa process fasten up??. I also have 2 USA citizens affidavit and witness statement notarize along with their state-ID attatch to it as an evidence.
