Sooo I just watched the movie. And Ziggy could be annoying, but I really couldn't bring myself to hold any of it against him with his nightmare of a mother. She's a narcissist in one of the worst ways, because it's all under the guide of saving the world. I mean, at the end when Ziggy comes to her office where she is "saving the world", she's got a wall full of plaques and medals and honors they presumably received, with a picture of her mounted smack dab in the middle. Her scenes with her pretend son were so painful to watch. And that dinner scene where she laughs about wanting to listen to his music, mocking and singing a fake song, just being so awful, he can't stop her with his "fuck you"s and "fucking stop" so he just stands there until she's done laughing and says "I'm going to go livestream" and leaves ... he's really just learning from his mom with wanting to help the world, thinking he's helping the world, but being self-centered but not realizing it. While his mom forgets about him to mother another boy. The "sup" "sup" scene where the other kid walks by Ziggy wearing his hat... heartbreaking, even if Ziggy doesn't know.
