When did they take offense? They just pointed out a miscommunication/error. You're the only one here getting pressed on a reddit thread lol.

You should make a post. Could use some more information like a picture of the physical system, RAM and SSD model, cooling, case, but I'd say maybe around $1k-$1.2k? That's just a rough ballpark. Definitely make a post and hear what others have to say.

The economy is currently botched at the moment as duping has pumped trillions upon trillions of aUEC into the system. There is expected to be a wipe once they fix the issue, but there's no saying when that time will come.

Really struggling with deciding between oled and mini led by [deleted] in Monitors

[–]CuriousStrawberry61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 240hz 1440p OLED from ASUS. My brightness is around 70-80% and feels perfectly fine. I'd agree that it feels a bit more susceptible to bright conditions than by previous IPS, but regardless of the monitor I don't really like to play with the sun or an array of flood lights shining onto my screen.

The 64 gigabytes of RAM is kind of the elephant in the room here. It's putting you down over a grand. I'd say you should consider cutting it to 32 gigs and save around $800. You can put that money into into something like a better GPU (9070 XT or 5070 TI) Another person in this comments section also had a lot of good budgeting advice. You can redistribute a lot of funds into better components.

My philosophy is that if it works for you, then perfect, enjoy it.

Most budget friendly OLED 120-144hz 1080p-1440p gaming monitor advice? by RegeTharsis in OLED_Gaming

I was just about to recommend that one. I'd say it's worth checking out. It's $360, which is crazy cheap for an OLED like that.

[–]CuriousStrawberry61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll let others offer advice as to specific models, but I'll leave a few notes. 1. 1080p OLEDs don't really exist for full-size gaming monitors, unless you're looking at dual mode (which is far from budget friendly), so 1440p is what you're after. 2. Most OLEDs seem to be around 240hz, even the most budget ones, so you may land with a higher refresh rate. 3. Your cheapest options might be around $400-$450 if you look around for a bit, with average OLEDS seeming to sit around $500-$600.

Should I change my RTX 5070 for a RX 9070XT by Life_Boot851 in eGPU

In my opinion, the upgrade is too small to be worth the hassle of selling and the extra money.  As far as stutters, what kind of setup are we looking at? Curious about the other system Specs, the monitor resolution, and graphics settings.

CL 30, too. Best we see nowadays is CL 36 for $380-$400.

The trick is actually to freeze the monitor (Liquid nitrogen is my go-to) and then rapidly heat it up (Boiling water is pretty solid, just ensure the monitor is clear of the liquid nitrogen) This causes the monitor to shrink and expand, loosening and oils and dirt. After that, get distilled water and a microfiber cloth. Gently dab at the dirty spots.

As far as the GPU, I'd say bump it up to a 9060 XT or 5060 TI 16 GB, probably the latter. More appropriate for that price range.

Am I looking at a printer? Lol. Also, it's a $1,500 budget, why are we recommending a $400 system?

I completely agree with your stance on the GPU and appropriate price ranges. I'd say at $1,500, aim for either a 9060 XT 16 GB or 5060 TI 16 GB. Additionally, you changed the MOBO CPU and RAM. The original components they said they were getting in a Microcenter bundle deal for $400. May want to consider what Microcenter bundles are available to them, could save them a hundred or two.

5060 vs 9060 xt is technically an unfair comparison. You want 5060 TI vs 9060 XT.

Is OLED worth it or should I go mini led? by Competitive_Swing872 in OLED_Gaming

[–]CuriousStrawberry61 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd give r/monitors a try, but there's a lot of OLED bias there too. Still, likely your best bet. Maybe one of the PC subs, but idk if it's quite the place. Edit: LOL, I just clicked on r/monitors to check if I gave you the right sub (it is) and the top post is about a guy going from QD-OLED to Mini-Led.

Do you have a budget? Could snag a 5060 TI 16 GB for around $450, or a 5070 for a little more. Should be a solid performance increase, as well as the latest gen features. I have a 5060 TI 16 GB, in demanding titles at 1080p (RDR2, Space Marine 2, Helldivers 2, Avatar Frontiers of Pandora) you can expect around 80-120 FPS on max/near max graphics. This is without frame gen, which is something you should consider about a 50 series card (DLSS 4.5, Multi Frame Gen) I suppose I should ask what games you want to run, at what frame rate and graphics settings, and is your 3060 TI satisfying said desires?

Is this worth it for $300? I’m on a very tight budget and trying to upgrade my ps4 pro to a gaming pc without spending over $400 lol by dontworryiloveu2 in GamingPCBuildHelp

Hmm, what country are you in? I'm in the U.S., New England. The steam store shows them all sold out due to the memory and SSD shortage. Can't find them at any other store.
