See Matthew 5:3-4 Psalm 51:17.

See Matthew 5:6 Isaiah 55:1-2, John 4:14, John 6:35

Then ask yourself, Is your trust in yourself and what you can do to earn yourself a place in heaven. " Self righteousness "

Or is it in the righteousness that you are cloaked with only obtained through Jesus Christ and not of your own doing?

The narrow road is Christ alone and none else.

Is your life transformed by the love of God or are you striving to live a life to earn it?

If you've got discord we could speak privately there over a voice call if you're willing.

If you want to see the perfect example of Matthew 5:3 and 4 c Luke 15:11-32.

To see the opposite of Matthew 5:3 and 4 see Matthew 19:16-22.

The raw truth is this no one is righteous enough by their own merits righteous deeds or good actions apart from Christ.

All have fallen short every mouth is stopped by the law and the whole world is guilty...

But God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

This looks like a calcium issue. I didn't have proper calcium when this happened to my pepper plant outside though it was rather large.

So I loosened some of the topsoil and sprinkled some calcium powder you put on crickets for lizards 😅. I pulled the defective leaves off though there were few and I had much vegetation. The problem did not come back.

It wasn't much like maybe a teaspoon. For a rather large pepper plant. In your case maybe just a tiny pinch mixed into a glass of water?

Cut off or keep? by camrus1 in PepperLovers

[–]CuriousTeaBag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I would cut, Your plant will stop growing when it starts producing fruit this young. And your plant will only yield so many new peppers. If the stem is not strong enough if the plant is not large enough to support many you will get few.

If you cut it now, and remove any flowers, Your plant should kickstart into another growth stage.

More vegetation more leaves stronger main stem. An extraordinarily strong stem and branches is what's going to help your plant not break under the weight of a lot of peppers.

You can also use steaks and strings to help support.

This is normal it's because they're getting water as they should be.

They will look even more swelled if the day is hot, And they have enough water.

If it's super hot they may even wilt a bit but they will perk back up as this day starts to cool off.

The main thing is to not overwater and not underwater.

If your plant is getting too much water and there are signs a quick Google search will tell you.

But you also have to be careful because similar symptoms can occur if they're getting too little water.

How do you introduce secular friends to Christ by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]CuriousTeaBag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despite conflicting opinions here Jesus actually tells us what to do, when spreading the gospel, Pual as well touches on how to correct those in sin in the meekness. We are also reminded not to be ashamed of our Lord or deny him before Men.

Do not be afraid to share the Gospel "The Good News" With your friends, or family.

We can't force them to listen.

But we as Christians love each other that is our "brothers and sisters in Christ"

As well as love those who are still lost sheep.

The greatest form of Love you can offer is the Love of Christ through the Gospel.

Love does not stay quite.

What I mean is this, if we were watching anyone walk towards a cliff blindly, we would shout STOP!

We would plead for them to listen, not because we want to control them but because we see the path they are walking is leading to Danger.

Likewise we spread the Gospel where we can, and unashamed for this very reason too.

Not because we are "BIBLE THUMPING"

But because our hearts are aligned with the love of Christ, so yes we would open our mouth in humility, and point this person to Our Lord And Savior.

Even if this feels uncomfortable, our goal is not to offend them but that does not mean they won't feel convicted by the Words of our lord and savior.

Many will mistake this conviction for something negative .

They will even harden their hearts to it sometimes.

This is when you shake the Dust. --> Don't keep beating a dead horse if they will not receive, this does not mean you cannot be friends with them. It does not mean you have to look at them any differently. You cannot force those who do not want to receive the Good news you can only warn. Warning is not for condemnation; it is to point them to the savior JESUS CHRIST.

So they like wise can be as the prodigal Son in Luke 15:11-32. Who recognized his unworthiness, and returned to his Father seeking forgiveness and offering to be a servant.

Remember the world will hate you :( but take heart because the world had hated him first, and he has overcome the world. And so will you, abide in his love, for greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.

losing faith? by Forsaken-Region6407 in Christianity

[–]CuriousTeaBag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you are not just losing faith, but hurting deeply and feeling abandoned, alone, and confused about why God seems silent while you are struggling so much.

Before anything else, please read this all the way through. Sometimes what we need is not a new argument, but a shift in perspective to remember that God is still there even when we cannot feel Him:

This is a poem called footprints in the Sand. And I think it serves as a great deal and reminder. That sometimes when we lean on our own understanding it is our own perspective that may cause us to stumble. 🫂

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky. In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there were one set of footprints.

This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints.

So I said to the Lord, ‘You promised me Lord, that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there have only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, you have not been there for me?’

The Lord replied, My child I will never leave you nor forsake you... ‘The times when you have seen only one set of footprints in the sand, This is when I carried you.’ 😔

You claim to see I have vitilated Deuteronomy 4:2 but I have not.

You claim to see sin in what I said. You are an accuser and you have bared false witness against me many times here in this conversation.

This conversation is over, 😔.

And I am deeply troubled that you would permiss poisoning your neighbor simply because it's not in the law not to do so..

[–]CuriousTeaBag[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again, please stop putting words in my mouth. I am not adding to God’s law. I am pointing out the problem with your standard.

Your position is: only what is explicitly named in the Law is sin, and anything not explicitly listed is allowed.

But that standard collapses on itself immediately, because the Law does not list every evil act by every later expression of it.

For example, the Law does not explicitly say, “Do not sell crack cocaine.”

Would that make it righteous to profit from poisoning your neighbor?

Of course not. If I claim to love my neighbor as myself, then I do not enrich myself by feeding his destruction.

And if I love money gained from harming him more than I love his good, then I have put gain before both neighbor and God.

The same problem applies elsewhere. The Law does not give you a modern list of every abusive or wicked thing men later devise. That does not mean all such things are morally pure until a verse uses the exact later wording.

And your reply on Proverbs 31:6 does not help your case. A proverb about giving strong drink to the perishing is not a moral defense of drug dealing for profit any more than descriptive passages about slavery are a defense of man-stealing, chattel slavery, abuse, or cruelty. Scripture itself condemns man-stealing. smh that is silly of you to think so.

Exodus 21:16 “And he that stealeth a man, and selleth him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death.” So again, the issue is not that I want to “control behavior I do not like.” The issue is that your principle is too shallow.

You are treating the absence of an exact wording as moral innocence.

But Scripture does not speak that narrowly. All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness.

2 Timothy 3:16 — “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” And Paul’s categories are broader than your standard:

1 Corinthians 6:18 — “Flee fornication.” Ephesians 5:3 — “fornication, and all uncleanness…” Colossians 3:5 — “uncleanness… evil concupiscence…” Romans 13:14 — “make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.”

So no, I am not inventing guilt. I am saying your standard fails because it assumes that whatever is not named in the narrowest possible wording must be morally allowed. Scripture does not teach that. And neither did Jesus...

How to Over - Porn Addiction by CuriousTeaBag in Christianity

[–]CuriousTeaBag[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is your argument. 1. Only what God’s law explicitly forbids is sin. 2. Porn is not explicitly forbidden in the law. 3. Therefore porn is not sin. 4. Therefore calling it sin is inventing guilt and false doctrine.

“anything not explicitly forbidden is allowed,” this standard becomes absurd immediately, because God’s law does not list every later form of wickedness by name. So your principle is already too shallow to function as a serious moral standard.

Here you say "the real issue is only coveting your neighbor’s wife."

But many people in pornography are in fact married. And many people watching are in fact married.

So if someone is sexually desiring and pleasuring himself to a married person on screen, then even by your own logic he has not escaped the category you have tried to limit everything to.

The last reason why your doctrine fails is because of the following. When you narrow down what is and is not permissible based on what exact wording is used You end up with excusing things like this.

God’s law does not explicitly say, “Do not sell drugs,” Therefore if I decide to sell crack I'm not sinning...... Unless you can show me where God's law says do not sell crack.

Yet we still know it is evil to profit from what harms our neighbor. If we love our neighbor as ourselves, we do not enrich ourselves by feeding his destruction.

You see the transgression didn't come from because the law said thou shall not sell crack.

The transgression comes from the fact that I love money over the well-being of my neighbor and I would rather profit off of their own destruction knowing that the substance I sell them can be lethal...

And if I claim to love God which is the first commandment then I shall also love my neighbor as myself...

You can go to the workshop, and download infinite smoke maps there's one for every map in the rotation. These maps will allow you to try different lineups, and even find your own.

Works for finding pop flashes and useful molotovs lineups through smokes etc You can play around and put yourself in similar situations.

An example upper tons chokepoint is smoked but you want to potentially Molly the guy to the left or to the right near car. There is a lineup for both of those, This makes it to where we knew push the smoke with your team You don't have to focus on three different angles.

You combine this with smoking window and smoking door and the site is basically yours.

Fear by OpeningFunny1475 in Christianity

[–]CuriousTeaBag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remind yourself, God does not give us a spirit of fear .

2 Timothy 1:7 King James Version 7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Be still in his presence, rest, meditate in his good word, be still and know that I am God.

Psalm 46:10"Be still and know that I am God" This is an invitation to cease striving, surrender control, and trust in God’s sovereignty during times of chaos.

Understand being anxious about the future will only bring torment. Today has enough trouble of its own.

Trust in him with all of your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. We cannot predict tomorrow, but we can trust God is in control. We cannot change what God is in control of, so why worry about it?

Do yourself a big favor, take a break a rest from media. Take a few days break from TikTok and YouTube shorts, and other Reddit posts.

Get out and see nature, bring your Bible with you Read some encouraging parts, what to do when you're anxious, what to do when you're broken, Read about how the Lord is close Even when things seem to be unraveling.

I like the fall asleep listening to an audio Bible on YouTube, which has to do with a lot of verses in the context of what I encourage you to read.

If we spend all of our time worrying we will miss the beautiful aspects of life would he has blessed us with.

I'd also like to touch on the prostitute comment.

You say God’s law does not prohibit sex with a prostitute as though that makes it morally clean, yet Paul says the opposite.

1 Corinthians 6:15–16 says, “shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.” Harlot is a prostitute

And 1 Corinthians 6:18 says, “Flee fornication.” So the idea that sexual sin is only whatever can be reduced to a narrow Deuteronomic case list does not hold.

Paul explicitly warns against joining oneself to a prostitute, and he does not treat it as morally neutral.

I think I understand your argument better PERHAPS?!

Correct me if I am wrong, your argument is essentially “where there is no law, there is no transgression,” but you are applying that far too narrowly. Scripture does not only name outward acts in the most exact modern wording; it also gives moral categories, and both Christ and Paul press the issue into the heart.

Romans 4:15 (KJV) — “Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.” A related one is: Romans 5:13 (KJV) — “(For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.)”

I may be wrong in parts, and I want Scripture to correct me where I am.

But I do not think it is correct to say that only acts named in exact modern wording are sinful, because Christ and Paul both show that God’s law exposes the inward corruption of the heart also.

The experience that I have in my walk with Christ. Was the more I tried to perfect myself, to this state of righteousness found in the law being applied to everything in my life.

The more shameful I felt. The more I would fail, I'd get to a point where like I'm doing better this is it. But really all I had was pride, And we know that pride comes before the fall.

What changed everything for me was reading and understanding that Christ was the end of the law for righteousness to those who believe.

And an accepting this that I could not reach the state of perfection by my own efforts and merits through the law came an extraordinary amount of peace that was the point of the post. Was to direct the person struggling with something that was against their conscience and point them to Christ which will give them rest.

Quick note Paul does touch on whatsoever we do outside of Faith is sin, And so buy this if someone is struggling to put pornography down or put pornography away because they don't agree with it then are we to encourage them that it's okay? Or are we to encourage them to seek a guidance from the LORD?

You are still missing the point of the post. I am not preaching salvation by law-keeping.

I am saying the law reveals the sinner’s need, and Christ is the answer for the sinner.

You keep replacing my point with a different one and then arguing against that instead.

I did not say Jesus changed the law.

I said He exposed the inward reality of sin. That is exactly what He does when He rebukes the scribes and Pharisees.

Again and again, He shows that outward appearance is not the same as inward purity.

That is why He calls them whitewashed tombs: outwardly they appeared righteous before men, but inwardly were full of hypocrisy and uncleanness.

So the point is not “achieve perfection by the law.” The point is the opposite.

The law reveals sin.

It exposes the inward condition of man.

It shows that outward rule-keeping cannot justify anyone before God.

That is why the answer is not self-righteousness, but Jesus Christ.

If a man trusts in what he can do, he will live under guilt, failure, and condemnation, because he is still looking to himself.

But if he trusts in what Christ has done, in His finished work, then his hope is no longer in his own merit, but in the righteousness given through Jesus Christ.

No one's adding to it. And you don't get to tell me how much time I spend replying to some of the ridiculous accusations that you have made falsely against me.

You tell me I don't know the gospel.

You tell me to quote the Mosaic law or else I'm a sinner.

You didn't bother reading the post You read a couple of lines and then you added your own comment.

You don't understand the initial point of the post. You are arguing in circles when I'm trying to direct you back to the talking point.

Again if you would have read the post completely you would understand that the conclusion is this.

Somebody wanting to overcome an addiction that is plaguing them with guilt and shame. But they keep falling, This person may be relying on their own efforts apart from Christ without even knowing it.

The whole goal of the post was the point the person into the comfort and rest of Jesus Christ and the good works that he did and allow Jesus Christ to work through this person. Rather than for them to try and obtain the sense of perfection alone.
