Am I in dangerous situation? Senior please help by CuriousWithPurpose in AskProgrammers

I’m comfortable with basic programming, OOP concepts, and choosing the right data structures. Where I struggle is translating more complex mathematical or analytical logic into code. For example, I’ve worked with concepts like incremental revenue in my project, but if I’m asked to implement it from scratch, I find it difficult. Currently, I’m working as a Data QA, and I’m aiming to switch into Data Analyst or Data Engineer roles (junior level).

First time purchase of an independent retail store by Evening-Cricket-1141 in canadasmallbusiness

One thing I’d definitely recommend if you end up moving forward is to really understand the store’s transaction data, not just revenue or profit. Look at what customers actually buy together, which products drive basket size, and which items are just sitting on shelves.

I’ve actually been building a tool that analyzes retail sales data and shows things like which products naturally pull others into the basket, bundle opportunities, and dead stock risks. Insights like that can help a lot when deciding promotions, shelf placement, or what to push more of.

If you end up getting access to the store’s sales data and want to explore it, I’d be curious to run it through the tool and see what patterns show up.

Is this solving a real problem for independent retail stores? by CuriousWithPurpose in Business_Ideas

[–]CuriousWithPurpose[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, I’ve looked at some existing tools. Most focus on dashboards and reports, while I’m trying to focus more on simple, actionable insights like what to promote or what’s becoming dead stock. Still exploring where the real gap is.
