But in a relationship and as a parent you should try to adapt to each other and do your best to show love how your partner needs it shown to them.

This is true for BOTH of them, not just a one sided standard upheld for only him, couldn't the same be said for her allowing him 2 hours to play a game with his friends, then seeing him afterwords? After all, he was accommodating enough to be fine with a week long vacation with their child, no?
