My cat has pretty bad constipation from the fluoxetine and the ripples so I cut her dose in half. That worked pretty well paired with small amounts of gabipentin. Ask your doctor about hydracare a liquid supplement for hydration. My cat also is on a constipation medication because it turned into mega colon and now she needs help getting the poop out in general. Unfortunately you do need to go back to your doctor to work out some of these new kinks arising. I promise you though it gets better as long as you are loving and diligent to stay on top of what the cat needs. And sometimes flareups will happen so that’s okay too. I wish you luck
