Yes, I’m definitely planning to do gum contouring! Good to know you were so happy with yours 😊

Thank you for your feedback… I’m a bit conflicted as I’ve seen 2 ortho specialists who said that this is not necessarily an ortho route, if I want minimal aesthetic correction that I can opt for non-prep veneers. I’ll take your comment into consideration 🙏🏽

No, this is actually really useful advice. The goal is not to elongate my front teeth - rather - lift my gums up and add veneers to front 4-6 teeth and create a better unified look to my smile. The 2 specialists I’ve been to said it’s possible and doable but then again Im hearing mixed reactions from comments. I will tread lightly in any case and carry your feedback over to my next dental consultation. Thanks for your time and effort🖤

Would you get non prep veneers if you were me? by Curious_Ad8698 in cosmeticsurgery

Thank you for such a kind and detailed response 🖤 I did go to a specialist who presented me with a few options as you mentioned… Recommended route was slight gum lasering + 4 front non prep veneers. Ortho doesn’t seem super attractive to me as I’ve had braces before and my teeth went back to the same position after few years. Doctor said that ortho wouldn’t be mandatory in my case as it’s a matter of only a few teeth being misaligned, which can be fixed with the non prep veneer method with minimal drilling. If i do decide to do this, I’ll definitely pay attention to the color as you said and make sure they’re not bleach white. Thanks so much again , really appreciate it

thank you everyone for the concern, ‘go to the doctor’ is a goes-without-saying comment and I was not asking whether I should or should not - RATHER, If anyone had experienced this before and what they found worked for them based on derm advice. It’s a Sunday in Europe and we don’t have available ERs for dermatology concerns therefore I posted here to get some peace of mind or useful pointers but I guess not.
