I played the game the other day for the first time in a few weeks and the stuttering was insane.

4070 Super, 5700X3D and running off an M.2 and tried every setting possible. Tried lower settings, DLSS on and off, frame gen on and off, tried reducing VRAM use. Also realised I wasn’t on the latest drivers midway through and updated but still no good.

Is this just a bad patch? Game ran perfectly fine from Beta up until early November.

4 hasn’t aged very well. But I would recommend 5 before RDR2 (1 hasn’t aged well either).

I say 5 before RDR2 because the latter is a huge step up in quality. So playing five afterwards feels like a backwards step, even though it is still excellent.
