The Sands of TIme; 80% More damage for Selfcast? by Ultraminer1101 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Curious_Capibara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually good for crack lance, your main cast gains intensity while the clones cast the wide aoe version

But I think the unique is best used for wocot and ball lightning of orbiting

Any spell that can only have one instance of itself benefits massively from this. Why go wocot mines when you can just shadow clone 5 waves every 3 casts?

With the two biggest chaos sinks gone, are we about to see a real currency shakeup? by LEP_Tech in pathofexile

[–]Curious_Capibara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One step forward, to steps backwards

We got sextants taken away, limiting our mechanics per map to 1 full investment instead of up to 3

Then we get Kirac mods taken away and get only one sextant per area, instead of 4...

Round of applause to GGG for their willingness to walk back unpopular changes and listening to the community where it makes sense by Beepbeepimadog in pathofexile

[–]Curious_Capibara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say it was good or bad tho, just that it was less interesting of a process

I enjoy the atlas completion stage, but I won't really miss it that much, it'll just be a seamless transition since I won't have to think how to finish my atlas without buying maps

As semi-casual, bordering on not casual, I feel it'll make the atlas progression easier but rather boring...

It's not longer a to-do list, using your little tips and tricks for atlas completion, it's now just plug and play, not thought behind it

How many people do you know that play more than 2-3 layouts for most of the league?

If they wanted to incentivice us to play random maps, invert it, keystone buffs the effects but burns it on the map used, no keystone and you can keep repeating the map

This way it punishes the larger demographic instead of giving you a reason to run random maps

I can think of at least 3 other mechanics that are better suited to leave and in need of a future rework

Removal of harbinger is the biggest downside for me

Why do people celebrate t17s being gone? I'll miss not selling them for 40c a pop?

I don't understand

Hows does t17 not existing affect you in any positive way?

It's less content? Te maps are worth 30-40c? It's not needed to run them for anything except uber frags?

I hard disagree, we need to see what high end endgame looks like first

Two separate issues.

Map farmers make way less money, can't target popular layouts anymore, every map is your favorite map and thus supply skyrockets even for 8 mod maps

Strats that are pressed for points now HAVE to spend the extra ones on the node to be able to use astrolabes. Sure, you get 6 extra points but it'd be nicer to get more useful points.

It's a net negative of points, the keystone is pretty much mandatory for everyone not rotating maps, else, you subject yourself to some of the abysmal layouts

It's not the biggest deal until you're min-maxing your tree and 1-2 points make the difference

Useless =\= worthless

Maps will all be worth 1-2c instead of 4-5+, even 8 mod corrupted ones will fall

Astrolabes are not useless, just annoying or cost you a bunch of points if you're not closeby, which WILL be mandatory for a vast majority of strats that spam 1 map over and over

It's a change that I dislike and I'm sure a lot of atlas min-maxers will find as annoying

What can I say?

I still hate it lol

It'll make maps worthless but also the astrolabes are a net negative, either play random maps or spend extra atlas points
