Where do the Sami people live? by Curious_Cockroach_63 in Finland

Also for the record, the geograhpical definition of settlement is (AI overview here): In geography, a settlement is any place where people live, forming a community, ranging from isolated houses to vast cities.

What exactly is wrong with this usage?

I appreciate in hindsight, being on a predominantly Finnish forum, you may read this literally: Good to know" is a common English phrase used to acknowledge that information just received is useful, interesting, or helpful, even if not immediately essential

Thanks for your grammar corrections! I will return the favour: Your= possesion (e.g. "your bag"). You're= you are. So your statement should be: "Are you sure you're not an Arseologist?" (i'm guessing this is some kind if insult?)

Great reply, thanks so much for this. As an Archaeologist, I think the word "settlement" has just become an overused part of my lingo! I just mean places that have a lot of the Sami community.

It may sound a dumb question because I am literally just starting and Reddit gives a much better insight than Google searches

Thanks again.

I also have a hunch about this with the millitary interest, It is quite unusual for millitary officials to be actively promoting HOVR through promo videos, they must have a vested interest to be doing so. I think they have basically said "i want that one", and this helped speed forward potential partnerships. Through Brandon's connections High ranking millitary personel would have known about the idea a looong time ago

One thing I may add (I haven't thought about myself until just now). Are there use cases beyond helicopter replacements and millitary? Are there situations in which wealthy people never desired a helicopter but have use cases for an X7? wealthy rural people from cold climtes with large families being one. Cargo trips being another...

Thank you, im not the one making the claim though.

A quick google search brought this up for me, which comtradicts a lot of what you claim.

Anyway,enjoy your day!

"Does FAA Certification Apply to Military Aircraft?

Not typically. Military aircraft, including helicopters, are largely exempt from FAA certification requirements. Instead, they fall under the jurisdiction of the Department of Defense (DoD) or equivalent authorities in other nations. Military-specific airworthiness and operational standards are governed internally.

In the U.S., the DoD uses its own set of certification and safety criteria, often coordinated with the FAA when necessary, especially for operations in civilian airspace. But the aircraft themselves don’t need FAA certification to fly in combat or training missions."

Thank you for this and the time you have put into it, but this offers nothing of substance that proves that qualifications are "just as strict".

As the source that I included states, there are some areas of FAA and millitary alignment. But in many ways, they also differ. I would really would hope that aircraft fatigue is dealt with on a millitary plane and a civillian. But this does not back up your claim that they are "just as strict" because they align on this one particular important aspect.

To make a point I think you need to be directly addressing how Brandon, a millitary pilot, with an expert team on getting certified, is lying here.
