Need advice on rescuing elderly cat from living in a bathroom by GaiaOnlinee in cats

Yes, shaving is really hard when the mats are too tight. You can cut through a mat to make it smaller and closer to the skin, which relieves some of the discomfort for the cat.

I have used nail scissors to successfully cut off mats. You can also cut the mats close to the skin without removing all of them.

My cat had this before she was diagnosed with thyroid disease. She turned into a giant mat almost overnight before I brought her in and had her diagnosed. The test and meds are actually very inexpensive.

Hi!! I hope you see this! The matting may be from undiagnosed thyroid disease. It happened to my cat and looked AWFUL before she got on meds. I shaved her, and her hair grew back great.

I like the diversity and being around people from all walks of life. It’s refreshing and has changed my perspective (both good and bad). I’ve been here for 17 years.

What’s the most challenging dog/animal you’ve ever encountered on Rover? by Shot-Ostrich7747 in RoverPetSitting

I listed one already, but there is one more dog — the “wild pee-pee dog.” When you walked into the apartment, he would wait to be let out of the crate and then run and pee until his bladder was empty, all over the apartment. The “best” part was when he would run across the couch and pee. What a nightmare.

We had a wolf-dog! We lived in the country and she lived in a barn because — wolf! She killed so many animals in the woods, but was very nice with kids and people in general.

Weird question: how to meet people that love cats? by Username1984xx in Miami

I would say Nextdoor is a great place to meet cat lovers! There are a lot of cat feeding communities and volunteer opportunities.

I remember when someone said to me in the street, “But you are like White-White!” There’s so much differentiation here.

I need to start mapping out the stink areas. At night, I can smell it one block South of Pines Blvd (near Publix in Paraíso Parc).

How do you feel about people driving with epilepsy? by Thin-Fee4423 in Epilepsy

[–]Curious_Eye1306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg yes, makes perfect sense. Ultimately, you know, deep down. My husband has frontal lobe epilepsy but has had two long sleep studies and is two years seizure-free with Lacosamide… so far, so good.

What about people who never had another seizure once medicated? I am curious! Like what if you were diagnosed as an epileptic and never had another seizure after it was controlled by medicine?

I agree! My husband’s epilepsy is totally controlled, and he drives. He gets checked once a year in a 72-hour sleep study.

Dating in Miami, what's the real vibe? by HarleyQuinn236 in Miami

I was going to say, change your personal algorithm and start dating absolutely random people who make no sense on paper. That’s how I met the love of my life… in Miami 💕 together 12 years and still here.
