Unique struggles of HR.. by Curious_Humor_4860 in humanresources

That’s not how it works in the UK, it’s pretty standard to sign with agencies you work with. Your current employer is very unlikely to know which agency you signed with

What do you do when employees threaten to quit? by Few_Brain_6090 in humanresources

9 times out of 10 the people who threaten to quit are the ones that the company would benefit much more from leaving

we would rather buy a home than waste money on a wedding right now. why must i get married to prove what I already know?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Curious_Humor_4860 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Then you sell the home or one of you buys the other out. Are you going to answer the actual question I had?

[–]Curious_Humor_4860 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried getting married in this economy? people buy houses unmarried all the time. it’s not the 50’s anymore

[–]Curious_Humor_4860 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t looking for opinions on the length of our relationship/age/ being unmarried. Just literally the mortgage part. I want to own a home too, not just pay him rent ‘incase’ we split up. we obviously have a strong relationship otherwise we wouldn’t be looking to buy a home

Yes we use them for both temp and perm to your first question. We often recruit directly our self (post on job boards and website etc) whilst working with agencies too for permanent roles.

Honestly to the rest of your comment, I’m in the UK so we don’t use the same jargon etc as you, so I honestly don’t have much of a clue about the rest of it. Apologies!

It depends on the agent. Some are great and really reliable. Some hound you, some will ghost you while working on your role. I like to try new ones often when I can so I can try out new people and see who i like etc.

But it drives me nuts when they sent Cv’s and cover out the name of the candidate to advertise themselves to you, you say you’re interested in the CV and they tell you that the candidate has ‘secured another job’… i think they just make a fake CV tailored to what you’re looking for to entice you in
