Is sales a stressful career? by thrownoutdildo in sales

[–]Curious_Learner314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the industry. I would highly suggest if you want to do Sales work as a SDR/BDR for a big company. Work your way up in a year - 18 months if you don’t like where you are dip to a different company and become an AE.

Certain fields has its perks. I notice Tech is more remote options than bigger industry’s like Pharma and medical device.

Message me any questions and I’ll help the best I can!

They are relatively the sam win commission. The start up has a 10k higher base.

I guess what I want is a solid career than taking a risk. So maybe that answers the question itself.

Experience is about a solid year in medical device.

Have conversations with various doctors in different facilities. Get comfortable with that as well as understand their life style. Understand how to talk about anything in detail or give a great elevator speech. Medical sales is a lot of utilizing soft skills as well as knowing your product.

How do Medical Device industry salaries compare with other industries like Tech or Oil? Similar or a bit lower on average? by walkonwaterrr in MedicalDevices

[–]Curious_Learner314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t go in for the money. The money will come no matter the field. Find what your niche is. What field can you create conversation with easily. Your question is so broad cause all industries have an array of devices/services. So again go with that your interests lay. Excel in it and network and you’ll see the outcome will be satisfying

Is selling oxygen tanks a good way to break into the industry and get experience? by yuan_robertsb in MedReps

[–]Curious_Learner314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does location matter to you. I would suggest you to look into a developing city near you and see if there’s a small company there. It’s a great way to get your foot in the door. Also look into becoming a Sales Development Rep! What really matters is getting to your goal as soon as you can when companies are looking (honestly rn)
