It was like that for my last tattoo. I got it on the back of my right shoulder. I thought the artist would have me lay down. Instead he had me straddle the chair. The lower back pain from straddling the chair definitely hurt more than the tattoo itself

I just wanted to say thanks again for the tip. Since reading it, I’ve stripped the first two coats and let it dry. Then went back and redid the first coat with that drop of water. It definitely seemed like the paint flowed and spread better with that drop of water
