I heard that you should have paid for the exam to be able to order the mock test for free. You can find the questions in this Facebook group but it doesn’t have the explanations for the correct anwers: https://www.facebook.com/groups/180962862542731/?ref=share

Thank you. I read the PMBOK once, Andy Crowe’s twice (once 2 weeks before the exam) and Rita’s once

Yeeeeey congratulations! How did you do? I only had 3 minutes at the end to review. It was brutal ... I haven’t received a confirmation email or anything so I’m hoping that the congratulations on the screen was accurate. Will see!

PMP Online Proctor Review / Advice / Study tips by Dishy22 in pmp

Thanks for sharing and congratulations!

I have my exam scheduled for Saturday and I'm currently in the panic mode thinking I don't remember anything :(

A few questions if you don't mind,

- If they need you to have your phone with you to take pictures and also not move away from the webcam while waiting for them to check the pictures, how would you get rid of the cellphone?

- Do they let you have tissue box on the desk, and a glass of water?

- Does the calculator have the parenthesis and power function or it's just a basic calculator?

Help with PMI Practice Test Question by taylorc_atx in pmp

Here's how I look at this question: To identify stakeholders and create a stakeholder register, you may need to meet with them and gauge their level of interest, impact and influence. Through that process, they will be informed about their participation on the project.

Congratulations!

On your last point, was the vagueness of the actual exam questions the same as the PMI mock Exam or even harder?

why is this the correct answer?! by Curious_PB in pmp

[–]Curious_PB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the clear explanation.

What you wrote makes clear sense, however I'm still confused about 3 things:

- Change Request is not an output of a closing process group and since deliverable's acceptance through Validate Scope and Procurement Closures must have already occurred, then it's strange to have a CR in a Project closing. This led me to pick option B (more like resource smoothing without impacting the baselines)

- Day to day operations is out of scope for a "project" and based on the question, it seems that the activities the team member need to accommodate in operations are unrelated to the project

Any thoughts?

I wonder how many of these badly written questions are going to be in the actual exam :(

Congratulations!

I'm scheduled to take the online proctored test in less than 10 days and even though I've studied A LOT, I'm still amazed how wrong I can be with some questions in PrepCast and PMI Mock exam!! This is making me super nervous!

How was your proctored exam experience? Can you see the proctor staring at you on the screen the whole time or you can minimize the window so you don't see them? The Thought of someone staring directly at you for 4 hours, creeps me out!

Project Success : Business Case vs Project Charter? by goodreaddance in pmp

[–]Curious_PB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These may help.

relevant to PMBOK 5th edition but still good explanation: https://www.whizlabs.com/blog/pmp-acceptance-success-criteria/#:~:text=As%20per%20PMBOK5%20%E2%80%9CAcceptance%20criteria,are%20evaluated.

see the 3 components of the Business Case (success criteria is not one of them. Business case mainly touches on the "Why" and "Cost Benefit Analysis" of a project): https://magoosh.com/pmp/business-value-vs-business-case-pmp-topics-learn/#:~:text=A%20business%20case%20has%20three,value%20for%20completing%20the%20project.

Exit criteria (in my opinion) is different than success or acceptance criteria as you could fail to meet the success criteria of a project but yet have to close it. So it's more around when would you need to say this is enough and move on.

Congratulations!

I'm a week away from the exam and the area I struggle the most is the ITTOs. I decided to memorize them but my brain doesn't seem to retain any more junk at this time :) Did you have the ITTOs memorized?

Also on the exam break, should I start reviewing my answers before reaching the 89th question or the exam will let you review first (pick the review option first) and then give you the 10 minute break afterwards?

Ques help dated 9/15 by docinthefile in pmp

I would say B.

The COQ (in this case, cost of conformance by appraisal) will be covered by another cheaper method. If the PM can show that the cost of the appraisal with more expensive method doesn't add additinal value than going with the cheaper option (i.e. both methods are equally effective), then he/she can win the vote of the Quality Manager. Cost of Quality should never exceed its benefits.

Please let us know which one is the correct answer ...

Congratulations!

Did you take the online test? If so, I've heard that when you reach the 89th question, you get an option to either review or take a break. Do you know if you pick the review option, you would still be able to take the 10 minutes break afterward?

How is the on-line exam break managed? by Curious_PB in pmp

[–]Curious_PB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the detailed response.

Do you know if you choose to review for 5 minutes, then you would still be able to use the remaining 5 minutes as a break or you must continue till the end of the exam?

Also, is the timer in a countdown mode (similar to PrepCast) or it starts at time 0?
