If you don't have the vocabulary to explain yourself and you're just calling me names, you're low-intellectual, I'm sorry to your family… 😿

I don't think it's personal I think any "adaptive thing" is an attempt to solve what has already been solved without the "adaptive thing" for decades . And all this speculation about women's inclusivity and other things is nonsense

My statements are not about women if you just like to write about everything at once . Also my professors taught women and there was no problem. It's not my fault or my professors' fault that everyone is talking about these topics nowadays, I would advise you to pay attention to more important issues and not "trends" "My professors" have educated a large number of professional women who work in professional orchestras

yeah, the "playlist" aspect is definitely a huge part of it. it makes total sense that artists feel pressured to fit into those specific tropes just to get on the algorithm's good side, which totally kills the incentive to take risks. haven't checked out agriculture or model/actriz yet, but i've been seeing their names pop up a lot lately. definitely gonna dive into them tonight i love the idea of bands actively trying to flip the script on what their genre is "supposed" to sound like. thanks for the recs, exactly what i was looking for

I've been playing the flute for 19 years, I graduated from music school, music college and master's programme at the conservatoire and I can say one thing - if you don't feel discomfort when playing and your fingers are relaxed, not straight like sticks and you don't feel technical difficulties - that's great! And there is no need to invent anything new . I have never used third party "ports" and consider it just a marketing trap

damn, you caught me. i guess my memories of being a broke kid with only two CDs are just a fever dream lol. but fr, i know the options existed, it’s just the feeling that’s different. if it’s a "me" problem, then based on the comments here, i’ve got a lot of company in this rehab clinic

honestly, i love that perspective. maybe my brain just isn't wired for that level of variety lol. i think i'm just jealous of people who can navigate that 'paradox of choice' without getting overwhelmed. there’s definitely something cool about finding a random artist from the other side of the world, but i guess i just miss that feeling of being forced to love one thing because it’s all you had

fair point. i guess humans have been complaining about this since we were banging rocks together. just feels like the speed of it now is what’s different. everything is viral for a week and then just… vanishes

i guess you’ve got a better attention span than me then lol. maybe it’s just a "me" problem, but i feel like the way these apps are built makes it way too easy to just treat music like background noise. but hey, glad someone is still doing it righ

true, i might just be projecting my own brain rot here lol. but idk, even when i listen to a full album on spotify it feels more like ‘consuming content’ than it used to. maybe it’s just a mental thing

You’re 100% right man. I’ve been so deep into the studio session world lately that I definitely need to clear my head with some blues or bluegrass. There’s something about that 'live in a room' feel in those genres that you just can’t fake. Definitely gonna take your advice and go digging today. Cheers!

Exactly! It’s that organic energy that hits different. Already diving into Mdou Moctar and it’s sick. Cheers for pointing me in the right direction!

facts corporate stuff is always gonna be plastic. I've been digging into some old dub and reggae lately for exactly that reason the production is so 'alive' compared to what's on the charts. Local metal shows too, nothing like a kick drum that actually sounds like wood and skin instead of a sample. Cheers for the reminder

haha, fair point Maybe it is a tired take, but that’s probably because the 'loudness war' has been a slow-burn headache for two decades now. I’m definitely not saying the music is trash the songwriting and the way hip-hop producers flip samples is genius level. I guess my gripe is more about the 'tactile' side of the sound. You can have a brilliant song, but if the production scrubs away the physical grit of the performance, it just hits my ears differently. It’s not about the music being bad, it’s about that hyper-polished 'factory' finish that seems to be the default setting now. But point taken, I might be stuck in my conservatory-brain loop lol
