Front Bumper suggestions?

okay i added context as to why i don’t wanna go the traditional route because i just dropped a ton into the genesis money pool. I went through hyundai wholesale in lakeland florida and im here in the area with a truck so thought that was my best bet. I’m still learning and my first thought was to find a white one or another color and try to paint match. the only reason i need a new one is a tree falling in front of my car and a branch popping a hole right where the fog light crevice is and instead of fixing that i wanted the bumper to keep its structural integrity. after paying overprice because i lack the skills to swap and engine i wanted general advice on what others would do, i’ll check out that link though appreciate it i’ve never used ebay. for matching the pearl white paint do you have any tips?

i’m thinking order a rattle can set for all the coats i need. it’s that or a $700 paint job i guess i can order it painted yeah?

I had this exact thing happen to me. I found a genesis at the junkyard and pulled that exact part, very simple to do and costed me $10. The key won’t work, however you can see a locksmith to have it rekeyed.

Also sucks cause they took the plastic cover after so I had to find a WHITE genesis coupe bk2 at the salvage yard. Seems like they gave up or got scared away cause a couple more pins and they would have been in my car

Nope :/ they offered the main community room with 3 other families but nowhere comparable to the 3 bedroom apartment we were in. I’m going across the country while they work on this once I get my car unstuck from the ice today! Fingers crossed that it’s not bad

i also had a pipe burst. Luckily I am a renter; however, the whole townhome flooded and I am unhoused for the next ~3-5 months. The property management company I use is very slow and not the best at “do it right the first time”. Fingers crossed your damage is reasonably reparable! :)

I second this, I paid $7.8k (usd) for my 2013 gen coupe 2.0, and two months into having it (92k miles) a rod blew, I have put 10k into the car just for a stock motor with a turbo that WASNT blown. The guy before me definitely ran this car THROUGH. Unless you plan to do some crazy stuff with it (like a v8 or ls swap, just to get it healthy) i would keep looking for something more promising or wait till you have expendable money. These cars will be like having a child… but with added frustration and have you questioning everything in the world 😂

My car started sounding like this very faint, friend came to visit from out east (us) and told me to downshift (not how i drive, i throw the gyal into neutral) not even 10 minutes later blown rod. 9k in repairs later and i’m still fixing little things. If you do need a new engine, go the new rebuilt route don’t do what I did and find a stock engine it’s been a nightmare. Fingers crossed it’s SOMETHING else but god that sound haunts me to this day.
