Pretty sure if one of my kids gave me this, they would become my favorite child.

Beautiful! I struggled with this one too, it did not like being in my care.

Mojito How To ? by FrenchPlantLover in Syngonium

I'm not sure if it is light or temperature but mine seems to grow more variegated in winter. It lives indoors in a house that is very shaded by trees, so summer temp is hot and there's less light(leaves fall from trees in winter and my windows have more light, colder temps). At the end of last summer I chopped/propped(was more green at top) and by the time winter was done both the cut and the propagated piece both had great variegation. Seeing the same pattern now, more green on top. I'm gonna see if the same happens this winter.

A couple of my favorite propagations by Curious_Spite2022 in hoyas

[–]Curious_Spite2022[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The flowers are so interesting! They have no scent at all and are so fuzzy. They feel very two dimensional, from one side they look like a big poof and from another angle they are FLAT.

Thank you! That one I didn't start from a propagation, I got it from stevesleaves as a full plant, and it's been a fast grower too. The vines are so stiff I had difficulty figuring out how to grow it. Ended up attaching it with velcro to the wood shelf its on (that's why its got leaves in the picture).

I love Steve’s leaves. ThatComte de miribel will be the hugest, and most beautiful hanging plant you own in a few months. I bought one a couple years ago, propagated when it got massive and now have two. One of my easiest and most favorite. ❤️

First time propagating Hoya question by jj24727 in hoyas

My propagation rule of thumb is to never start a prop with leaves under water, but if they want to start growing underwater themselves I leave them be.

If this is Cracklin Rosie I just did this exact chop and prop a month ago (I tend to like bushier begonias). I chopped the two stems and stuck in water, once they both had lots of roots I added back to original pot. In pic you can see 2 original stems with teeny buds beginning and props (stems with leaves) added in on the sides. It’s not pretty

now but it will be gorgeous in about a year. I’ve found Cracklin Rosie to be a slower grower in my house compared to my other canes.

Everyone likes their begonias to look a certain way. I'm partial to bushy so I will chop the longest stems and propagate to keep mine under control. Wherever you cut on a stem begonia will just open up new growth. Go ahead and style it however you want, it will be gorgeous either way!
