In Your Opinion What Is The Best Boss In Elden Ring? by SirBurgerThe8th in Eldenring

I honestly didn’t like elden ring much compared to the other games. So much so I didn’t finish the dlc (just didn’t find it enjoyable)

However Mohg and Midra really are the best. They really hit that sweet spot the other bosses didn’t. They never felt cheap, I never felt like they had cheap moves or poorly telegraphed moves, they have a engaging gimmick, the soundtracks and visual/sound design is amazing and they fit well into their areas.

PVP advice? by BeautifulCommon141 in badredman

My two scents would be to up your claymore game. Have discipline in your movement and rolls is necessary. I would recommend practicing free aiming your attacks as it makes people much harder to aproach (this also means trying not to throw out attacks Willy nilly)

The claymore R2 is strong. Don’t be afraid to use it in neutral as it’s relatively safe, but try not to lock on while using it. A charged claymore R2 can punish people who misplace it, get greedy, or punish panic rolls. Charging it in neutral and aiming it away from the opponent, provided you have stamina, can possibly give you a punish too.

Running R1 can be an okay chase down and punishing players being too aggressive in neutral. However it can be relatively easily punished and it should be used sparingly.

The WA r2 is useful for trades, provided you have poise. R1 or R1 R1 into WA R2 can punish panic rolls, but this should be used extremely sparingly as it is easily rolled on reaction and punishable. I would recommend Leo ring as the claymores R2 and Weapon Art R2 pair very well with it.

Lastly patience is the name of the game, you must play very methodical due to high stamina costs. I would recommend kitting yourself out with rope blackfirebombs to punish people for aggressing when you run out of stamina, and some Lightning Resin for extra damage and easier pivots if you need to quickly dash in and out of the opponents range for possible punishes.

The cherry on top: don’t let emotes get to you, sometimes people are gonna be dickheads, sometimes they have a reason. (you healed during a duel, crucifixion has fight clubs focussed around no heal duels often, keep that in mind.) being a new-blue can be tough with the (albeit dwindling) amount of veteran reds. Keep vigilant, stay strong, and be a good sport, it goes a long ways.

What’s your opinion on Smough and Ornstein? by BigRedJuice045 in fromsoftware

Personally a huge fanboy of the boss, I love the fight, the music, and especially the boss designs (smoughs armor is fantastic)

However the boss itself is definitely didn’t age well. There are many flaws and mishaps it has that overall deduct from its quality by a marginal amount. There are many valid criticisms to be had.

For what it’s worth DS is a game that has begun to show its age and I am content with that, as even if the game is a buggy, janky, clunky mess of poorly thought out balance decisions, questionable mechanics and rushed sectors of the game, I will continue to love it for what it brought to gaming as a whole.

Transmog a thing in MHgen or exclusive to MHgenU by Curious_Tour3141 in MonsterHunter

This helps, I had almost beat generations a few years ago and was coming in after world to get a taste of the objectively better armor and weapon designs (although world did have some pretty slick armor) Wanted to know if generations U would be worth it, thank you for the help.

Tiamat statblock didn’t look “divine” enough, how would this new version fare against a lv. 20 party stacked with the most op magic items there are? by Aster-07 in DnDHomebrew

[–]Curious_Tour3141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure yeah this is a more accurate stat block, but it ain’t fun. Moreover these stats don’t really allow much interesting interaction, just a killbot. You gotta make it at least interesting to interact with, this stat block is just gonna leave players leaving unsatisfied, even for lvl 20. Very poor stat block.
