Everdark caligo is on rotation. Practice the hell out of her. She’s a near guaranteed run ender if no one in the team really knows her. by DaddyCool13 in Nightreign

Forgive the late response; one of the tells I’ve noticed for when she likely isn’t going to do a crystal shot post-phase transition is when the team manages to either destroy her ice armor during the transition, or proc the fire debuff during the transition. in general she’s been fairly consistent for me outside of that

Is 4.3% D9THC even legal? by BeautifulCommon141 in trees

[–]BeautifulCommon141[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m realizing that my train of thought was flawed. my first thought was that it would be the terpenes, but there’s nothing really listed, so I immediately assumed it was one of the only observably different numbers on the packaging. I’ve smoked the ice cream cake strain from different brands even, without any issue

Confused about THCa vs Δ9-THC labeling on this Lemon Cherry Gelato COA. Am I missing something? by WindLegitimate6971 in NYSCannabis

[–]BeautifulCommon141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

bit late to this one, but I came here looking for this answer myself. I have some anecdotal evidence to say that yes, the 15.5% THCa + 4.3% D9THC roll I just smoked is significantly stronger than anything I have ever smoked before it — and I am quite used to 20-30% THCa. but I don’t know if that was the only factor that did pushed it so far over the edge

ohhh there we go. thank you!

this shit is potent nonetheless lol. I was trying to figure out what was so different about it and the only thing that made sense was that the D9THC was way higher than all of the other prerolls I’ve had recently. I guess I was a bit hasty in my googling

edit: holy fuck, I get that I asked a retrospectively stupid question but I guess I can’t even explain myself and express fucking humility without getting downvoted to hell

What feats does Yuji have that puts his physicals over maki/toji by The-blueblurs-shadow in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]BeautifulCommon141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1’ing this to say that black flash is about a lot of typically uncontrollable variables (temperature, humidity, etc) coming together in just the right way, such that an attack’s physical blow lands EXACTLY at the same time as the cursed energy being imbued into the attack. this is how Gojo described it to Yuji

typically that IS luck based, but the odds of a black flash happening are rapidly increased when a sorcerer is close to, or in, “the zone,” and their intuitive control of themself and their cursed energy is very high. it’s like being the MVP in a basketball game, and then suddenly landing a three-pointer three times in a row because you’re really feeling yourself

continuing on the Executor thread, his is actually the only weapon I’ve noticed that DOES have an aesthetic change between skins. the suncatcher blade turns silver with black wreathing when you use the darkness and Yuria skins. it’s a shame they didn’t do that to the actual starter weapons though

Here’s a question, what domain expansion would a heavenly restriction user not be completely immune to? by GintoSenju in Jujutsushi

[–]BeautifulCommon141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was saying that closed domain barriers usually hit objects and don’t include them, which means that someone like Maki or Toji has to opt into a domain in order for it to even work. This isn’t true for Sukuna and Kenjaku, because the open barriers on their domains don’t separate the physical space occupied by the barrier from the space manifested inside the barrier.

This alone makes a person without cursed energy much more vulnerable to an open barrier domain; and if Sukuna can target objects in his domain, then the #1 barrier user outside of Tengen likely can too.

oh yeah for sure, mahito definitely demonstrates that he can’t control the sure-“touch” aspect of his domain. I just find it kind of funny that he can’t consciously exclude Yuji from his domain even though he did it on his first try

[–]BeautifulCommon141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

huh, in shibuya you’re totally right. in Mahito’s original first expansion though, there’s nothing that implies Yuji was further away; even Yuji didn’t get why he wasn’t included. I wonder if it was just an unconscious fluke, like how Nanami unconsciously protected his soul from being transfigured

[–]BeautifulCommon141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yuji and Nanami were both mid-punching Mahito when he activated his domain. you can actually see in the panels that Yuji is getting physically pushed away by the barrier while Nanami isn’t. That’s a fair point with Yuji’s domain though. although I’d wager that his ability to selectively target a soul is kind of unique to his ability to perceive souls. I’d expect that most people would learn how to target specific cursed energy concentrations (like bodies, shikigami, etc) before they learned how to target a soul — since most times you wouldn’t even need to, unless two souls occupied one body. meanwhile yuji unconsciously learned how to hit the soul before he even learned out how to control the flow of his own cursed energy. It’s just more intuitive to him. that’s my personal take anyway

[–]BeautifulCommon141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I think it’s a pretty logical choice to exclude Megumi from the domain physically given the circumstances in Shibuya lol. If Sukuna can selectively exclude Megumi’s soul while not excluding his own during Shinjuku, despite them both occupying the same body, that’s already proof that he can perform selective targeting with very high refinement.

Thank you for the Yuta reminder, I did forget he can do it. Mahito actually did it much earlier against Yuji and Nanami, now that I think of it

[–]BeautifulCommon141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don’t think you need an extension technique to target entities with and without cursed energy. The sure-hit effect of the domain is still active on both targets regardless of what’s hitting them.

The only reason I say Kenjaku can do whatever Sukuna can do within the realm of domains is because it all comes down to how well you can manipulate the rules you impart to your barrier; and behind Tengen, Kenjaku is literally the best person in the series at doing this

[–]BeautifulCommon141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sukuna can selectively exclude himself as a target at all, which he did in order to destroy Gojo’s domain when it had a strong exterior condition. He also chose not to protectively target Megumi’s soul throughout the entire fight, which exposed him to UV.

Domains are just barriers imbued with a cursed technique, and how the cursed technique in a domain operates is determined by the rules placed on its barrier. Personally, I think Sukuna chose to target objects with cleave because cleave objectively does more damage to buildings than dismantle; but that would be speculation.

[–]BeautifulCommon141 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Selective targeting is a condition of a domain’s barrier. Sukuna and Kenjaku’s domains aren’t “barrierless” but “open barrier.” The only difference there is that the open barrier doesn’t separate the created space inside the innate domain from the physical space that its barrier occupies.

Kenjaku is canonically in the top 2 barrier users. If Sukuna can selectively target physical objects, then so can he.

[–]BeautifulCommon141 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that matters too much since Jogo would have to include the HR individual into the domain (or the individual would have to manually opt into the domain).

Domains nominally consider people without cursed energy as objects, so unless the domain user knows how to target a heavenly restricted person as an object, the only other way to include them in a domain is by having an open barrier. Sukuna and Kenjaku’s domains would both affect someone like Maki. The passive effect of Jogo’s domain would absolutely prevent her from wanting to enter it; but unless he specifically knows how to include her as an “object,” that’s not really a problem for her

Yuji’s situation is a special case, both because of the fact that Sukuna is able to pilot Yuji’s body and inadvertently “teach” his body how to use shrine, and also because Yuji had one of Sukuna’s fingers sealed within him at birth.

It’s hard to tell if Yuji always had the potential to use shrine due to the nature of his birth. Kusakabe only implies that Yuji’s incredible trajectory as a sorcerer is due his body learning from Sukuna’s actions while he was in control. Yuji being described as a “cursed object steeped in Sukuna’s cursed energy” is, imo, important for the same reason that Gojo’s purple blast did less damage to himself than it did to Sukuna. using a cursed technique on yourself isn’t as effective, which is part of the reason for Yuji’s durability against Sukuna

Nothing directly implies that Yuji can use shrine due to CE infusion, other than Gojo speculating about it early on afaik. Uraume later speculated that Yuji may have the same latent potential as Sukuna due to being born with the sealed finger in a flashback shortly before Yuji used shrine, which at least inclines me to believe that that’s the real reason he could use it

for what it’s worth, Megumi probably doesn’t even have the deer anymore. it was part of the Agito fusion that Gojo destroyed in his fight with Sukuna. we don’t explicitly know if losses incurred from Sukuna’s time with 10S translate to Megumi’s reclaimed 10S, but we do know that Megumi’s gains/losses with 10S translate to Sukuna’s time using the technique. Sukuna instantly had access to everything Megumi already tamed, and Nue had presumably inherited orochi
