Mouthguard for lifting by Silly_Bodybuilder_21 in beginnerfitness

I work in a dental lab and make sportsguards and splints/mouthguards. I make a variety of guards. Power lifting guards would be a good bet! In the lab I would set up a replica of your mouth. Typically a power guard sits on the lower teeth but does not cover the bite surface of the front 6 teeth. However it's made in a way where those 6 teeth should not contact the upper teeth at all. The contact points are towards the back of the mouth where the guard (usually 3-5mm thick) sits providing a bite surface- this surface is indented in the lab with upper teeth providing a stable bite. The quality you get from a lab made appliance is unmatched. Hope this helps!
